COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Draft at GI Clybourn in June. Not sure what’s really left to say that hasn’t already been said. Pretty good IPA, nothing super spectacular, but like others said: very refreshing. I could’ve drank this all night.

12oz Bottle. Compared to other IPAs, this one is pretty mild, making it refreshing. Due to the fruity aroma and slight malty sweetness, this beer taste sweeter then IPAs I’m use to. I personally love the hops in IPAs, and wish more was in this one.

28.05.2004, 0,355l Bottle. Clear yellw colour with white head. This beer smells really nice with citrus and wheat. Very bitter but not so much malt. I think the body is a little to thin. Taste is refreshing and I really like the strong bitterness.

The nose was earthy and floral hops. The appearance was true to the style, red/gold color, white head. The flavor was a mix of citrus and earthy hops, slight taste of metal. The finish is entirely citrus hops, again witha slight taste of metal. Relatively thin mouthfeel, not sticky. Excellent overall. Very nice and refreshing on a hot day.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Not a bad entry from one of my favorite Chicago brewers.

Pours a nice clear orange with medium white head, decent lacing. Aroma mostly of citrus hops, slight floral, and some light fruity notes. Flavor matches well and leaves a nice hop bitterness behind. Slightly slick mouthfeel, but a nice IPA anyway.

FCBF 09 Too much hops for me. Overpowering in the aroma and flavor. Others might like that though.

FCBF 09. Big floral nose along with lots of pine. Astringent mouthfeel. Typical of the style. I am getting so I have difficulty telling these apart.

Bottle. Light orange, 5cm white head, good amount of lacing. Aroma is very fruity. Mango, sweet orange, some resin and some malt sweetness. Nice. Flavour is pretty much the same notes. Body is medium to light, carb is refreshing, but not too harsh. Not complicated or exciting in any way, but a solid representation of the style. Nice and sessionable.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2009 12oz - Nice palate, color and lacing, a bracing scent of hops on the nose. The flavor on the first sip seemed a little sweet, but subsequent sips were a solid, fresh, bright IPA. I liked it.
