Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Overall a very nice IPA. Good hop character on the nose. Nice malty citrusy palate. Low to medium dryness, less attenuated than most of this style.

12 fl oz bottle.Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Peachy and grapefruit hops aorma, mild wooden tone. Flavour is sweet, smooth mouthfeel and with a light peachy and grapefruity note following. Bitterness into the finish holds a light pinewood note. Lasting sweet caramel malt impression.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2009 Golden hazy hue. One finger of quickly dissipating head. Very small bubble lace that is also quick to disappear. Nice steady lemony hops aroma with some citrus in both the taste and aroma. Creamy medium body mouthfeel. Nice sweet maltiness to balance the hops. Very steady avg IPA. May be a good session beer

Bottle from The City Beverage Co, Old Street. Pours amber with a small white head. Nicely balanced bittersweetness, a touch of fruit and a dry hoppy finish. This is the kind of beer I could keep a stock of, extremely drinkable and great with a variety of foods. In all honesty, it prolly would’ve scored higher if I hadn’t had so many double IPA’s as of late.

Bottle. Thanks Nnudd. Clear yellow body with a meduim white head. Grassy and hoppy aroma with fruity notes. Lots of exotic fruit, hay, hops and malt in flavour. Long bitter aftertaste. Medium bodied.

From a bottle poured amber with a fair amount of head. Nice hoppy flavor with a lingering finish.

Pours a clear pale color with champagne like bubbles and plenty of fluffy head and lace. Aroma is good lots of fresh hops very piney and grassy. There is a good bitter flavor fresh spicy hoppiness balanced by a mild roasty pilsner like maltiness. The palate is sharp, this is considerabally better than I remember.

This is a very good IPA. Extremely well balanced between bitterness and taste. The aftertaste of this beer is delicious as well. I usually go back and forth between this beer and Dogfish Head 90 Minute in a night.
