COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lovers dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youll remember.

Bottle. pours like a transapaerent gingery brown, relatively dark. nice little fluffy head. Palate is more spicy than i expected and a spicey ginger taste runs through the beer. Really refreshing and nicely hopped. One of the best amerocan ipas i have had. Smooth body and nice bitterness that kicks in just when you wan it to! recomended

Orange with an impressive rocky head. Big hoppy citrusy/spicey aroma. Quite light bodied. Big bitter flavour, a little sweet. The finish is long and, you guessed it.... bitter. A very good, no-nonsense IPA.

Bottle. Big rush of grapefruity Cascade resting on a layer of caramel. Citric and hoppy. Clear orange body with a full, thick, rocky, lacing off-white head. Taste is a strong medium bitterness, woody and dry with a big fat bready component, full body with a smooth feel. Can feel it stripping grease and fat from my tongue. Fruitiness (that beautiful hoppy grapefruit and lycheee with some pine) nice and complimentary but definitely second to the dry woodiness. Alcohol is hidden to the point Id consider this a session by taste, though somewhat of an obese session. Usually, Im pretty lukewarm on Goose Islands stuff, but this is a really refreshing, non-resin-soaked IPA. Superb summer sixpacker.

Pours a light burnished copper with a loose off-white head. Light citrus spice and earth in the aroma with mild malt characteristics as well. Very earthy hops flavors--loam, dry needles--with some crisp malt notes. Light-bodied with good bitterness and a clean finish.

Pours a dark golden colour with quite a large amount of white head. Citrus smell that quite powerful and definitely opens the nostrils. Very peppery-hop taste with notes of orange and cloves and a warming alcoholic kick (actually tastes slightly stronger than 5.9%). Nice warming bitter/sweet aftertaste. A really nice beer, Id love to try more from Goose Island, unfortunately I think only this and Honkers are imported to the UK. I think most of the best IPAs are made in the States.

Taster at The Mondial de la Biere 07.Amber coloer with a beige head. It has a bitter dry hoppy taste, with flavors of citrus. Overall a good I.P.A.

Bottle. Golden with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of resiny pine hops. Flavour of citrus and elderflowers with a lengthy dry finish. Very pleasant.

Highly disappointing IPA, especially after its wonderfully classy citrus/pine aroma that does not overwhelm or lie resident in your nostrils for the better part of the week. Flavor is confused, hopped yet chalked, and it sits on the tongue like you just licked a blackboard. Too bad.

Nice IPA but alittle disappointing as it lacked the strong hoppy flavor I prefer. It also lacked a dry hop aroma and a strong initial taste. This beer did have a decent hoppy aftertaste but not as good as the better strong American IPAs (particularly from the west coast).
