COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

imdownthepub (14557) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 13, 2008
Bottled 355ml, from Sainsburys, Banbury. Dark amber with white head. I was prepared to be blown away, but wasn’t, sure there are hops in there, but they lacked some character and the malty sweetness is a bit odd for a true IPA, it masked much of the hop. There is bitterness in the finish with a fruity note, quite like Chinese gooseberries. A reasonable beer without being exceptional.
