COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Orange with a small, persistent white head. Grapefruit and passionfruit aroma. Very thick textured, there is a little bit of grapefruit in the flavour, but the taste is mostly a hop hit. Curiously I also detect a small amount of honey sweetness. However that is probably just a psychological association with the colour and viscosity.

Pours a cloudy orange with a stark white head. Smells fruity and hoppy. Initial flavor is hops and carbonation, but has a bit of spice to it. Finishes nice with a nice mouthfeel. This is a good summertime beer, maybe the best IPA I’ve had.

Orange with good, foamy white head / Pine and pineapple nose / Light body, some malts and modest hops, with good finish / Simple, cooked flavor of pineapple with pine and caramel on the finish / A fine but not stellar effort.

12 oz. bottle from Quinton’s (Iowa City, IA). Poured a light orange gold that was hazy. Smelled of fruits, namely ctirus. Taste is sharp, of hops and dry malts. I almost detect some piney notes but the beer mainly holds a dry citrus hoppiness that dominates. Not the best IPA out there, but certainly a formidable beer. A very inviting brew that I will drink again.

[Had at brewpub, will rerate from home] Nice hazy dark orange pour. Fruity aroma. Hops jump out right away, little bit of pinetree, little bit salty. Crisp palate that suits the big hop taste well.

Pours honey color with small off white head. Very sweet aroma of citrus and malt. Moderate hop bitterness throughout with a long finish. Other flavors of strong maltyness and fruit. Light to moderate body with a dry finish. Descent IPA.

Bottle. Pours a golden orange body with a white head. Nice citrus and pine notes among a light caramel hoppiness. Grass and a mild hoppy finish. Needs more IBU’s.

On tap at Wrigleyville Goose Island. Poured a clear gold with a white head. Aroma consisted of piney hop notes, nothing too complex. Flavor was nice w/ a good balance of hop flavor throughout.

12 oz bottle. Pours a relatively clear golden orange color, with a medium white foamy head. Aroma is floral hops, slight sweetness, pine. Flavor is a mild hop, light bitter, with a creamy, refreshing finish. Extremely pleasant IPA
