COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

I love this beer from goose island. It is one of the best mass produced ipa you can buy. It is probably the best beer made by goose island. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle. Hazy orange amber, creamy white head that lingers and leaves some lacing, with a malty biscuity fruit hop aroma. Smooth bitterness, malt, yeasty caramel, orangey grapefruit pine hop taste, soapy mouth feel, with some sweetness and a lingering dry bitterness.

Draft @ Taco Mac Kennesaw. Pours a clear golden with barely off white head and nice lacing. Smell is sweet orange/grapefruit citrus, but mildly so. Taste is medium bitter, grapefruit, orange, and some caremal sweetness. Overall a nice lower alcohol ipa, but only just on the top side of the middle of the pack. Still a solid drinker.

Poured from a regular bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a semi-clear amber-gold color with a big foamy white head with great retention, and plentiful lacing and cling. Its aroma had good citrus hops mixed with grain and pine, along with touches of lemon, yeast, and light sugar. Its taste was a citrus and grainy semi-bitter mixture with a bit of lighter crisp sweetness. The beer had average carbonation with light zest, and was somewhat wet with a medium-thick mouthfeel and was a touch creamy.

12oz bottle into snifter glass. Clear light golden color with white head. Aroma of strong pine and citrus hops. Taste was much the same, maybe a little more floral. Nicely bitter, balanced though with malt sweetness. Medium body, smooth, long bitter aftertaste. Enjoyed.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours a nice golden color with an off white head. The aroma has some caramel malt in good balance with some citrusy and piney hops. The flavor is the same. Pretty old school, standard IPA. Tasty and sessionable for the style. Nothing wrong with it, but in this day and age, there are soooo many other great options… I enjoyed drinking it though.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Yoav’s place. Pours hazy amber with a thin white head. Smooth peachy aroma, some grass. Tastes a little old, mildly bitter and fruity. Smooth texture, medium body, long, fruity finish. Pleasing.

Hazy orange in color. Nice thin layer of foam atop the glass. Smells hoppy, a bit of citrus, but mild and slightly malty. Flavor tends to underwhelm. It's got all the characteristics of an IPA but very little bite. Super mellow beer compared to similar beers in its class. I hoped for more from Goose Island, but it never came. Even the finish is dry and forgettable. Overall, I probably won't revisit this beer. It's a solid option if there's nothing else, but it's hardly impressionable if it's your first time sampling Goose Island. They have far better offerings, and I suggest starting with those. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
