On tap at Goose Island Clybourn. Pours a deep cola black with ruby highlights and a medium sized beige head. Coffee. Holy coffee. Cherry. I don’t smell the mint, and I very much want to smell the mint since it would lean toward a thin mint, and the idea of a thin mint stout seems pretty cool. A mint coffee stout would also be good. A mint, coffee, and cherry? Excellent. It’s just that the coffee overpowers the rest. Body is a little thin, big roast, coffee. Faint mint on finish (or am I imagining it because I really want it to be there?), roast and coffee. Tasty, and one that we repeated as we went through a bunch of samplers and had an extra spot open.
