22oz. bomber, 2009 bottled Aug 14, with a big thanks to FlssmrBrewAlum. Gushes on opening, with a ton of light pinkish white foam that settles down in a few minutes. Pours a cloudy rose color with a large fluffy pink-white head that lingers. Aroma is oak, grape skins, ripe fruits, and some dusty funk. Flavor is very mild, with more grape skins, oak, ripe dark fruits and only a hint of funk. Nothing too crazy here, but more subtle and light. A nice summer drinker with enough complexity to keep it interesting. Thanks again Adam! Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - JUN 9, 2010
22oz, 2009 bottle stamped with a bottled date of August 14. Pours a cloudy, amber-red-orange colored body with an inch thick, very foamy, off-white-pinkish head that collapses slowly and leaves a veil of lacing on the surface from a funneled, rising carbonation resembling a petri dish. Aroma is tart and acidic with lots of berries and pinot noir. When the tartness dies a little, lots of floral fruits come out along with some wood, a light rye spice, and some caramel. Very nice, somewhat delicate aroma. Not over-the-top tart, which I like. Flavor is very clean and definitely not too sour for my liking, but lacks some of the complexity I found in the aroma. Light tartness with lots of fruity florals. Berries, sour grapefruit, acidic grapes, and some rye spiced oak. Finishes with a light caramel. Very clean and dry with a light bitterness. Fairly short aftertaste following a light to medium body and very lively carbonation. Overall, a nice sour. Even keeled and pretty fruity while drinking very clean. Not the most complex, but enjoyable. changeup45 (1731) - Lake Mary, Florida, USA - JUN 8, 2010
Bottle from chicagodri. Thanks Paul! Pours a reddish-pink color with a fluffy light pinkish head. Big fruity nose with plenty of horseblanket funk. Prickly and tart. Quite acidic. Funky fruit, currants, red wine flavors along with some wood barrel notes. Dry as hell. Nice sour. Probably slides just below some of the big boys in the category. kbutler1 (1382) - Minnesota, USA - JUN 3, 2010
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2012 2009 bottled on Aug 14.
Poured a bottle of this into 2 snifter type glasses. Pours a reddish hued murky color with a huge slight pink head. The aroma is of the wild Brett and fruit. Some sourness notes in the noise. The taste is very good. The funky brett plays center stage followed by the blackberry flavor. The mouthfeel was extremely light. This bottle was really carbonated so I let it sit a while in my glass before enjoying.
Overall, I was really excited to try this and it didn not dissappoint. Very good overall.
**2012** vintage: Bottle. Pours a slightly clouded pinkish hued golden color with a whispy white head that collars around the glass. This is very fruit forward being such a "young" beer. Cherry, raspberry, blackberry notes. Light mouthfeel. Oaky fruit start, pretty tart. Woody, earthy finish with a touch of bitterness.

Thanks to Exiled for sharing this bottle.
2009 vintage. The beer pours an orange-pink color with a large white head that has a pink tint. The aroma is pretty tart with some blackberry and oak. The flavor is not near as tart as the aroma led me to believe it would be. I get some oak with a hint of blackberries as well as some lemon tartness. The fruit comes out more as the beer warms up. Fizzy carbonation and a medium mouthfeel. The beer is very prickly on the tongue. The beer reminded me a little bit of LeBleu, but that may just be the mouthfeel and carbonation. I wish the carbonation was toned down a bit.

Appearance: Murky pinkish, orangish, brown with a 1 finger white crown that rapidly dissipates and leaves little lace. Loads of sediment in the bottom of the bottle.
Smell: Passion fruit, mandarin peel, perhaps currants, a hint of vinegar, and wild yeast join a biscuit like malt. Great combo but not extremely vibrant.
Taste: Just like the nose but much more vibrant! Additional flavors include cherries. Nice amount of funk and sourness. The flavor profile is so nice....
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, actively carbonated, quite effervescent.
Drinkability: Oh this is a sour I could just kick back.
Much better than Sofie! Really like it!

Shared a bottle of this with the old man. Pink grapefruit colored pour with a big, foamy head. Yeasty and funky aroma. Sour, yeasty flavor, with some bread and a little oak. Tart and earthy, but not overwhelming. Good brew. Rosebud butternuts (2408) - Denton, Texas, USA - MAY 13, 2010

22oz bottle 5/13/10 (Batch 1 Jan/09) 50° in snifter-Pours a hazy dark amber with a small white ring for a head. Aroma of yeast, wild, and sourness. Taste of sourness, funk, wine, fruit, and oak. This medium bodied brew is pretty well balanced and darn good tasting. I am not a big fan of sours but this one hits the spot. Nice job. Not a gusher.
