(Draught) Pours a cloudy golden body with a small white head. Aroma of earth, light lemon zest, horseblanket, and coriander. Flavor lemon, orange, funky, Belgian yeast, and earth. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 25, 2009
On tap at GTMW. Poured milky, yeasty, Strawberry Quick-like with a short cap of white head.. that keg must’ve been shaken all to hell, but I’ve gotta rate what was put in front of me. The aroma picked up funky fruit and wheaty notes, with the yeast stealing the show.. I couldn’t make out any particular malts beneath. The flavor was more sour than the nose indicated, cherry and other fruit skins as the major contributors.. some lemon and peppery spices around.. hot and tart around the edges. Spicy and tart throughout on the palate with medium body.. it looked, smelled, tasted, and felt shaken up. I’ll gladly re-rate if I can get a better sample. Sampled at GTMW 2009 (Madison, WI). Pours a thick pumpkin juice color, no head, opaque. Aromas are a bit funky, light with a touch of belgian yeasty spice, mellow fruit and almost a grapefruit acidity, a tame Belgian with something lurking beneath. Initial is tart, a lactic sourness and tart finish dominate this beer. Light sweetness, tart dominant with good flavors of citrus, sour finish. Very good lighter bodied sour (although it definitely still packs some strong sour tart qualities). Solid finish that leaves the tounge a bit parched from the sourness. I’d love to try this again soon as it was up there among favorites from the fest. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - AUG 18, 2009
GTMW 2009: The pour is quite ugly actually since the yeast seems to have been moved about, hazy light amberish orange with a small head. The aroma has notes of green tea, lemongrass, mango, light initial funky vapours and a touch of spice. The taste starts nicely tart, lactic, and acidic with a lemon and orange tone. The finish is moderately spiced and biscuity, The mouth feel is chewy and soft. I would love to try this once the yeast settled, still a nice brew with promise for the future. at GTMW ’09. pours murky orange with no head. nose of mango, wild yeast. flavors are mango, orange, earthy, tart, and lots of yogurt. just an odd brew that is pretty drinkable and refreshing although it does come off as more a science experiment if that makes sense.

GTMW 2009. Poured a cloudy medium orange color with a white head. Smelled of orange Pez candy and subdued apple cider. Medium bodied with light acidity. I tasted apricot, subdued caramel, orange rind, and wet stone. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 13, 2009
gtmw09....poured a cloudy medium orange brown with very little head. didn’t look all that great to be honest... aroma of tart lemony esthers with some complimenting saison like yeast and fruit....flavors of tart citrus fruit, lightly sour, and a little bit of yogurt. very refreshing and drinkable. one of the best of the day. madvike (3264) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 16, 2009
Sampled @ GTMW ’09 - I’ve never had kombucha before, but I was still intrigued to try this one. Poured a hazy amber with no head. Smells sour and funky with a little spice. Taste is sour lemon with a sour orange peel finish. Very drinkable and smooth. BDR (2534) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - AUG 23, 2009
Why this isn’t a sour ale is beyond me. As a regular drinker of Kombucha it really stuck out in the pale yellow and fizzy beer. Very drinkable and that great kombucha flavor, this was a treat. zizzybalubba (1869) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - AUG 11, 2009
Sampled at GTMW 2009. A thick, yellowish-orange pour. Sour, tart aroma. Sour orange and lemon flavor. This was a great beer. Not my most eloquent description of a beer but certainly worthy of a very good rating.
