Bottle thanks to Alemax. Pours a hazy orange red with instantly settling coarse off-white head. No lacing. Aroma is tart, acidic, lactic, tasty, oaky and raspberry, vinous. Flavor is moderate to strong tart, acidic/lactic, fruity, raspberry, with an oaky, lactic finish. Moderate carbonation, light body, and dry finish. Very enjoyable, pleasantly surprised. Bottles poured a dark orange-red, head went away immediately. The aroma is very sour with light notes of raspberry. The taste is very light on the tongue, dry finish with a medium body. The raspberry is very intense, the sour gives a nice finish. Overall an excellent sour. VIBhunter (26) - Wisconsin, USA - NOV 17, 2013
Poured into a snifter tasting glass from a 22 oz. bomber. The bottle I got was a 2013 release. The beer had a reddish orange appearance. When poured into the glass there was a very small head which dissipated quickly. It had good carbonation. The beer had a very potent tartness smell with a lot of citrus and fruit. I could also sense a vinegar smell in the background. The taste had a very strong tart, some oak/wood, tannins, and acidic. It had a subtle sweet and tartness mouthful palate. I hope with age it gets better. ElDiablo (24) - - NOV 17, 2013
Love the saison style Belgian yeast with the fresh raspberries. The tartness of it was not at all overpowering. Very well made beer with a lot of depth. 2 drawbacks- very hard to find, and when you finally do, the retail price is over the top!

This beer was amazing. First taste was a surprise. Nice sour, raspberry flavor. Not a hyge swallow beer. Sipping is the best way to drink this big beer. Not chewy at all. Lots of flavor and just keeps getting better the more you drink it. KingRao (11) - - NOV 16, 2013
With more funk than Parliament the sherry colored sour is a treasure. This beer makes me want to live in Goose Island.

Draft at ebp. Pours a hazy dark amber with golden brown edges. Loose fizzy tan head fades right away. Bright sweet strawberry and balsamic nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Tangy strawberry and balsamic mid palate. Long tart finish. keanex (1799) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - NOV 13, 2013
Bottled June 17, 2013.
Appearance: The body is a bright burnt sienna with an effervescent head that disappears so quickly that itís almost a figment of my imagination.
Aroma: The aroma is taken over by a dry sourness with a raspberry backing and slight hay aromas. The aroma isnít very strong and I donít particularly love the aroma. The aroma is vaguely reminiscent of Warheads soaked in a beer.
Taste: The intro is light with raspberry, slowly adding a dry sourness through this. As the sourness builds it gains a vinegar presence. The finish adds a touch of sweetness, perhaps caramel and lingers for a few moments with a light vinegar. The finish is pleasant if you enjoy the prospect of pickled raspberry.
Palate: Almost full-bodied, highly carbonated.
Overall: I enjoy this, but not nearly as much as I should given the price. I find the flavor to be rather simple and not one that I particularly enjoy. The flavor reminds me of how pickled raspberries would taste, not that itís awful, but it makes for a beer I donít want to drink a lot of.
