Draft 7 oz pour at The Collective. I failed to get this beer on two previous attempts, one being way out of my control. Glad I at least found it eventually. Copper reddish pour with a foam halo head. Cherry juice particular aroma. Flavor is cherry pie filling throughout, with the subtle polish remover reminding booziness that accompanies a lot of these sour reds. How this isnt listed as a sour red/brown surprises me, but with a big beer like this, I dont ask many questions. A lingering tart, with hints of vinegar. A sour that gets better as it warms. Really brings out the sour cherry over any other flavors involved. Enjoyed the hell out of this as it sat. Unsure at first though. As an overall, a noteworthy, well made, unique sour. Quite.delicious.

9/2015 brewing, per the label. Pours hazy red-amber with just a trace of a tan head. Sour aroma from the yeast, mixed with notes of cherry and wood. Medium body, a bit oily. Tart, dry finish. Wine-like tartness with notes of wood and tart cherry underneath. A bite of sourness from the yeast at the back.

Slightly cloudy, red-brown. Bit of tan head, not much. Strong dark cherries, some slight funk. Some vanilla or molasses. Quite tart, sweeter finish. Heavier body, extremely long. Fairly chewy, some oiliness. Excellent.

Kind of surprised at this as its not nearly as enjoyable as I thought it would be. It was kept chilled at cellar temps since it went into storage. Aroma is the best part with strong tart cherry, yeast, oak. Flavor is where its weak - tart cherry, oak, yeast, and not much depth. Strong carbonation. Ok finish.
