LAST of 42 beers at GTMW, 8-8-09. Finally, a Goose Island sample here. Very beautiful Belgian-Flemish style sour ale. Smell is everything I’ve been trained to expect in a sour beer, tart fruits like cherries and plums in the background. Not much head, but I’ve sloshed the glass around. I’ve been tasting a few sour ales here, they just pile up at the front of my throat after a while and say "We’re going down; I don’t care what the h--- your throat has to say. This one cuts right through all of that sensory clutter and shouts out "Brettanomyces ahoy!"
Hazy amber red pour with small off white head. Aroma of malts, yeast, tart cherries and oak. Taste of tart cherries, lemon zest, malts, yeast and oak. Light bodied, crisp sour mouthfeel, sweet and tart finish. IPAMeister7 (57) - - JUN 21, 2017

Tart funky aroma similar to many sours. Very dark red with no head. Sour complex taste with an everlasting aftertaste. Effervescent palate with just enough depth.

En aroma recuerda vagamente a la cereza y mucho al acético, como goma. En boca es más afrutada, más cereza, acidez redonda, pero sensación sucia y final seco.

Looks almost black in color, but could be dark plum. Beige head is large. Aroma is complex oak, dark fruit, belgian yeast, souring brett, etc. Fizzy palate with the dominate flavor being cherry, cinammon, and oak. Strong yeast note in the finish imparts a dense almond character. Very complicated.
