Intense Belgian yeast, bread and caramel malts, sweet citrus fruits, orange, some spices. Clear gold, medium, frothy, white head. Light sweet. Bittersweet malts continue, caramel, yeast, alcohol, more spices, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Very nice Belgian Ale, very complex aroma and plate. Keg at the brewery tap room, Chicago. fuzzcro (295) - Illinois, USA - AUG 11, 2016
Aroma and appearance were quite suitable...as was taste. It wasn’t a memorable over the top taste though. Mild and in my opinion a bit washed out. I could drink it again if offered but not on my dime. PanMarek (463) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 8, 2016
Lots of caramel malt in the nose with spice in the middle and yeasty background. Pours dark yellow with moderate white foam that persists. Medium body, light fizz and some slickness. The taste is a little more mild than expected but a good presence of malt, hops and yeast. Slight alcohol burn.

Poured from a bottle 1.5 years old. Smells like a Belgian Ale, with a slight hop note. Pours a dark gold colour, and very cloudy. Yeast and sediment clearly visible. Head forms but dissapears almost instantly. First sip has just a slight sourness to it, but turns to a sweet Belgian le taste. Not too sweet. Great amount of carbonation. No aftertaste. Overall one of the better beers Ive had. Will look for this again in the fall.

Deep gold, light Amber in color with foamy beige head. A dusty dry hop scent, an interesting fusion with cigar tobacco, pine tar and rock candy. Nice feel, creamy and slightly sweet with pine needles. Goose island puts out some top shelf brews! Pedrogve (13) - - JUN 27, 2016

Amber/orange with a white head. Aroma of yeast, sweet, orange. peach. Taste medium sweetness, malty, orange, peach, yeast, lo carbonation, medium body,
At Bierkoning during Carnivale Brettanomyces. Classic Belgian-style ale by Goose Island, with very thick and dense, towering high, creamy, egg-white head and hazy orange blonde robe. Aroma of wet leather, fermenting hay, peach, strawberry, stewed pear, bitter honey, old dry sherry. Fruity sweetish, mildly estery onset, pear, mango and slight banana, some almost Brett-like ’funkiness’, supple malt sweetness, very earthy and yeasty ending with mild herbal and leafy hop bitterishness. If this is not a (new generation) saison, then I do not know what is... PotjeBier (3731) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 25, 2016
