Pours a clear reddish brown with thin tan colored head. Aroma is caramel malts and grass. Flavor is bland. some notes of caramel and earthy flavors but nothing incredibly distinct. Sampled during Cellar’s Wine & Spirits Wednesday evening beer tasting, Pours a clear light copper amber brew with an average off-white head that has some nice retention and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, a hint of cloves, rye, some chocolate and flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of caramel malt, some bready biscuits, flowery hops and a hint of cloves. Bottle courtesy of CanIhave4beers. Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells of rye, roses, some earthy hops. Tastes sweet with some nice rye elements and a hint of bitterness on the finish. crystal clear copper body with a great lasting off white head that leaves beautiful lacing. Solid toffee aroma with a hint of vanilla and just a bit of orange brightness. Bittersweet caramel vanilla raisin flavor with some spicy pine and a hint of orange. long balanced bittersweet toffee/caramel raisin orange finish lingering dry spicy pine and tart raisin. light to medium body. at first seems like an fairly uninteresting session beer but when you really give it some thought it becomes quite complex.
