i’m gonna go grind a homeless guy, wait? what!?! .. . Pours a dark tawny brown, damn good lacing with low head .. . light berries, wood oil, reduced brandy, and light nuts .. . pretty tasty, name fits this nicely, it really is a mild xmas beer .. . another goose island class act .. . I’ve never seen eyes so dilated! I could lose myself in them...

Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at Proof. Dark brown pour, khaki colored head, sticky lacing. Aroma has some chocolate, a touch of raisins. Flavor presents some potting soil, some chocolate, a bit of watery weak coffee. Clean, smooth mouthfeel. Very flavorful for a mild.

JaBier (8253) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JAN 28, 2010
Pint at Barley’s Smokehouse. Pours a clear copper with a medium beige head. Sweet and caramel malt nose with a significant bread note and a bit of crisp hop. Bready flavor with sweet caramel and a semi-bitter bready finish. Say what you want about this "mild" ale, but I’m damn sick of rye beers that don’t taste like rye and this one brings it. Bravo Goose Island, bravo.

2.7
FROTHINGSLOSH (8142) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2013
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-brown color with a huge creamy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was wood, nut and was fairly dry. The flavor was dry, woody, a bit roasty and nutty with a hint of smoke. Medium length dry wood, nut and smoke finish. Medium body. Eh.
