Bottle. Cloudy light brown pour with a medium frothy tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt, hazelnuts and brown sugar. Medium body, mild carbonation with a nice finish. Great rep of the style, though a little light on the hops which I prefer anyway.

Nøddeagtig, cremet og godt humlet. En lækker fornemmelse. Den er en smule brændt i eftersmagen

Dark , brown color. Thin , beige head. Aroma of chocolate , caramel , nuts , hint of herbs. Toasted malt sweetness mixed with hoppy bitterness in taste . Smooth and warming although it doesn't have high ABV.

12 oz bottle poured into a nonic pint glass at my sister’s Easter dinner. Dark reddish brown with beige to light tan head. Aromas of sweet malt, caramel, toffee, light cocoa. Tastes of caramel, toffee, malt. Medium body with a dry finish. Nothing amazing but it is a serviceable brown ale.

Old rating. 12oz bottle from old town. Nice aromas of toffee, caramel, milk chocolate, hazelnut and pine needle. Taste is mostly well-balanced but leaning toward the sweet side. Finish is nice and clean.

12 oz bottle. It pours a very dark brown, which is almost black with a large, long lasting tan head. It has the aroma of nuts, dough, bread and has a roasty aroma. This is a very easy drinking beer. I taste nuts, bread and roasted flavor, leather and tobacco and yet it doesn’t come across as overly complex. I’m glad that I bought this and am looking forward to the rest of this breweries mixed case I bought with it.

Poured dark brown. Light brown head dissipated fast in clean glass. Aroma of traditional nutty brown ale with good notes of toffee and chocolate. Taste is lighter than appearance with toffee, chocolate and disappointingly light on nut flavor. Dry finish with lighy, oily mouth feel. 2/21/15

12 oz bottle to a pint glass. The beer pours dark brown with a thin khaki head that leaves little lacing. Aroma is hazelnuts, malts, and a bit of grassy hops. Overall aromas are somewhat subdued. Taste is toffee, nuts, sticky malt, and a bit of hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is a little thin and alcohol is not present. Overall a decent representation of the style.

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Stone Ruination IPA pint glass From: Vons in Lakeside, Calif. Price: $13.99 for a variety 12-pack Purchased: Feb. 5, 2015 Consumed: Feb. 5, 2015 Misc.: Bottled on Oct. 23, 2014 Poured a very dark brown, almost black, color with two fingers of khaki-tan, frothy head. No lacing. No retention. (Sight - 3.00) Smelled chocolate, nuts, honey, caramel, toffee, faint vanilla, honey, light fudge and chocolate syrup. Seemed to be forced and fake. (Smell - 3.50) Tasted chocolate, nutty malts, honey, sugary chocolate, bitter coffee and leather. Reminded me of a slightly better Shock Top’s Honey Bourbon Cask Wheat. (Taste - 3.50) Medium-to-full body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.38) Didn’t really care for this beer that much. Won’t have it again after these three. (Overall - 3.38) 3.44 78 B-
