On tap at FoBAB. Poured hazy medium golden with a loose-bubbled cap of white head. The aroma picked up spicy Brett and Lemon Drops over a fruity base.. vinous notes emerged with warmth.. I enjoyed it. The flavor found pale malts and lighter fruits at the core with more going on around it (lemon zest and peppery yeast led).. finished spicy and rather refreshing. Medium-bodied and spicy overall on the palate with delightful feel and flavor. Seems like I enjoyed this more than most. GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - JAN 3, 2009
FoBAB 2008. Poured a hazy light orange color. Pleasant aroma of apricot, cereal grain, honey, and oak. Light to medium bodied. Yeasty bread dough flavor with hints of clove and apricot. Delicately tart and fruity. Nice saison. 1FastSTi (3360) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 12, 2008
FoBAB 2008. Pours to a hazy yellowish straw body with a creamy white head. The flavor is a grainy light barley body with a subtle yeast strain and subtle oak. Pineapple and light nectarine. The aroma is subtle pineapple and grains. More yeasts in the aroma than the flavor. Grassy hops. Average palate finishes dry but thin. User29624 (1683) - - NOV 27, 2008
FoBAB 08. Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Kind of disappointing for a barrel aged Goose Island beer. I thought it was a bit thin. Has a little belgian yeast and some spice to it, the wood added a little complexity. Decent. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - NOV 21, 2008
FoBAB 2008 offering: #807. Labeled as "Wood Aged Saison". Poured a light golden hazed hue with a bubbly white head. Aromas of belgian yeasty spice, light sweetness, and a more subdued hoppy earthy bite. Taste is light and mellow, belgian yeast, woody notes, fruity. Finishes with some spice and wood. Interesting, but a bit light bodied. Still, some nice flavors.

FoBAB 2008: Hazy golden hue with a good lasting frothy head. The aroma has notes of flowery and herbal hops, fresh oak chips, vinous and grape twang, and a hint of biscuity malt. The taste starts twangy and fruity with a light grainy background. Spicy and woody finish. The mouth feel is a letdown, watery and soft. Falls short of what is could and should be.
