I'm not much into hops but the special spiciness of hops in here really accentuated the rich roll of malt. A really fine fest in my book.
Pours a nice bright copper slightly malty aroma malty flavors with a little toffee not bad not great nathan30533 (1020) - Clifton, Ohio, USA - SEP 5, 2014
Good german style brew. Very tasty and good looking in a mug. Good beer. Enjoy. bugsizzy (70) - USA - OCT 4, 2013
Nice overall flavor...caramel malt sometimes a little muddy for this type of beer but also some nuttiness that was pleasant. Overall an enjoyable beer.

A nice amber body with a tan head that dad some retention, but no lace. Caramel and toasted malts some spicy notes. Flavor had good balance sweet and toasted malts. Not that hoppy. Smooth finish. Nice beer.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a rich red color with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, some toffee, some herbal hops. Flavor is sweet and malty, balanced with a nice herbal hoppy note. Clean hoppy finish.

Been trying to stay away from pumpkins and Octoberfests until at least Sept but figured what the F.
Reddish amber in color, big head because Shan let the guy pour it. Lots of sweet on the tongue. Sweet in the front middle back. Get it...it's sweet. Nice dry finish.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured a dark orange, clear with a small beige head and it does not leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma is malty, caramel a bit roasty with some spices, in my opinion quite faint. Taste is also mostly malts and spices, combined with some yeast and hints of hop. Quite nice easy to drink beer. gripweed57 (2804) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - AUG 11, 2013
12 ounce bottle. Amber orange color topped by a small foamy beige head. Light bready malt nose with notes of briny saltiness. Lacks complexity you would expect with a Marzen-style lager. Fruity sweet malt flavor lacks the toastiness and body I had hoped for. Too sweet and straight-forward for my liking. Needs more of a malty backbone. Somewhat disappointing. cards04 (2872) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - AUG 11, 2013
Pours a nice reddish brown with strong malty bread aromas. Rye bread. Tastes like liquid rye bread. A good enough beverage but I’m not sure if marzens are really my thing. I’m sure a marzen fan would really enjoy this. FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 10, 2013
Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a medium caramel color with a medium sized creamy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet caramel, toffee, malty and had a bit of golden fruits. The flavor was sweet and tangy bread, honey, sour golden fruits, sugar, caramel and toffee. Turns somewhat bitter on the long tangy bread, toffee and fruit finish. Medium body and very smooth. Very pleasant.
