COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the traditional Märzen style our Oktoberfest pours a brilliant copper over rose color with a bone white head. Notes of toffee and burnt sugar in the aroma and flavors of sweet dried apricots are delivered in a dry malty body with the mild earthy bitterness that is the hallmark of Hallertau hops.

This is the new recipe bottled by AB-InBev. Old entries for the earlier bottled and Brewpub version are located here: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/goose-island-oktoberfest-brewpub-recipe/6808/

Oktoberfest, this is a pretty good one outside of Germany, pleasantly surprised, recommended

A copper color with a white head. The aroma is malty with some caramel and bready notes. The flavor is malty with some dark fruit, toffee, and caramel showing up. The palate was fuller than many I’ve had in the style. Overall a spot on O-Fest. Good!

Great copper amber color. Overwhelming floral malt aroma, but good. Tastes like typical Marzen with a hint of hoppiness. A little fizzy, but good.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized auburn colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent light orange brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was Vienna malt. The crisp and clean mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering Vienna malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of Vienna malt sweet and mild hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

12 oz bottle,Ann Arbor, MI, USA. Medium amber, slight haze, minimal head. Caramel aroma, some autumn spice, bright hops. Sweet, bright with a medium body toffee flavour. Long sweet finish.

Aroma is sweet malts. Taste is somewhat balanced, but too much sweetness for me. Overall drinkable.

Very good aroma. Has the scent of their bourbon county stout (which I love). Different from other Oktoberfest beers. Malty, sweet, slight smoke flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Toffee and malt aroma. Clear deep copper body with a thick off-white head. Taste is of sweet apricot and toffee. Has a touch of bitterness but the malt balances it out nicely. Clean finish.

BelgianBeerGal (4039) - Panama City, Florida, USA - SEP 27, 2015
ABC bottle side-by-side with the SN fest beer. Comparatively much darker bronze color with a tan head. Lots of sweeter, caramel malt and yeast. Very light bitterness if any. Maybe a touch too sweet but still very pleasant.

12 ounce bottle aplit with drsilverworm. Clear copper with a white head. No retention. Aroma is musky and strongly grassy. Leathery almost. I got the dried apricot as it warms. Medium body and higher carbonation.
