UPDATED: FEB 1, 2004 Clear dark orange-copper color, nice white foamy head that leaves a thick lace in the glass. Has a light roasted, malty caramel aromas, sweet and roasty malt flavors, finishes clean, light to medium body, a little thin and semi-watery mouthfeel, decent.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2004 Wow! Fresh as can be; expires Feb. 23, 2003. This pours with an attractive white foam with moderate stickiness atop a doppelbock-like deep amber color. The nose is full of fig, plum, spicy hop, pumpkin pie, and freshly baked bread. Bottle conditioning provides an array of velvety bubbles that ride the palate beautifully. Flavors are of toasted bread and plum underneath a solid layer of malt and a dry, spicy hop characteristic to give it remarkable balance. Finishes clean, dry, perfectly hopped, and a touch of vanilla maple. If this doesn"t get you excited for Autumn and pumpkin pie, nothing will. seuinoz (255) - Glen Ellyn, Illinois, USA - FEB 26, 2002

A good fall beer with a smooth taste that leaves a good taste in your mouth. This beer looks and smells great. A little light on the hos and flavor but it still works. Terminus (3679) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 25, 2002
UPDATED: SEP 19, 2005 rerate-pours deep amber with a white sudsy head. suprising hoppy for the style in the aroma with some nice toasted/earthy malt notes. the flaovrs are lightly hopped and mostly grainy/dry malt notes. this is how i remembered it, but not quite as good. this beer smells like fall after a rainstorm. nice toasted grains on the finish, but not husky

Ahktoberfest. As in, ahh, that hit the spot! I’m not usually a fan of sweetness in brew, unless there’s a fine complex accompaniment, and this one has it. lagerman99 (66) - USA - DEC 6, 2001
I’m not much into hops but the special spiciness of hops in here really accentuated the rich roll of malt. A really fine fest in my book. THE BEER BARON (275) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 18, 2001
Well balanced and tasty. I enjoyed this Oktoberfest. Indra (2711) - Suburbia, Kansas, USA - SEP 30, 2001
Nice malty, fruity aroma. Light amber/copper color. Clear. Very nice carbonation, not much head, though. Has the same fruity, malty aroma in the taste profile, along with some nice hops towards the end. Better than most microbrewed Oktoberfests I’ve had. Malty flavors are quite tasty. A great seasonal from this brewery. Wonderful bronze color. Tons of malt backbone, well balanced with the brewery’s characteristic floral hops. A ’find a comfortable chair and have a few’ beer.
