Growler from clybourn. Pours light orange with large white head that sticks around for the entire time. Citrus aroma. Citrus and pine taste.
Tap. Amber with one finger head. Smooth with mild hops. Dry and slightly fruity. deyholla (11600) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 19, 2013
On tap at the Clyborn location. Pours a clear pale orange with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a nice combination of citrus and grapefruit with a bit of resin underlying. Flavor is more thin with a combination of light pine, resin and light citrus backed by a sweet grain note. Excellent citrus and tropical aromas. Very light body and great bitterness. Super drinkable. Favorite of the day. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 3, 2013
Dual rating happening at the source... Both pour similarly with an orange copper penny orange consistency and top
head... Aroma of a citrusy earthy grassy bent which really can’t be compared to voyager which has much more of the galaxy coming through. Fresh with a touch clean malt base and earthy middle... Flavors are more if the same with a citrus and flour, semi-sweet profile, with a bit of earthy lightly bitter consistency throughout. Medium bodied with a nice flavor profile overall. Clean and easy to drink. Some darker caramel malt seems to surface through the middle. Drinks pretty good with a mild earthy bitter note late.

Sampler flight on tap at Goose Island Clybourn (Chicago, IL). Pours a rich amber hue, mellow haze with rich deep sunset glows, orange and dark gold. A bigger frothy whitish head atop. Laces well, sticks around. Aromas are smack in the face with big grapefruit, florals, resiny flavors. Tropical fruit, grapefruit, lemon, rind. Touches of bread, grass, florals. Nice hoppy fresh nose. Initial is lighter end, a touch of body. Some grapefruit juice, lemon, florals, and grass. Medium fruit, firm dryness. Middle is a bit more bready, pale malts, gentle fruit, florals. Backend brings back grapefruit, gentle tropical elements. Florals, grapefruit juice in medium amounts. A more crisp bready dry backend, earthy dryness, grass, florals. A bit sweet at times, but a fantastic fresh nose, pretty pour, solid complex hop flavors that don’t scream or overwhelm. Nice fresh APA that could be a touch sweet at the odd moment, but a nice offering here I’d drink a few of for sure. Dogbrick (13010) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Sample at the Clybourn brewpub. This brew is a clear orange-gold color with a thin white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops and sweet fruit. Light body with flavors of hops, pineapple and malt. The finish is sweet with a fruity hops aftertaste. Decent session APA overall. Draft at Clybourn. Pours a deep honey gold with a persistent white head, slightly hazy. Nose is faint grass and hops, though non-descript and herbal. Pretty restrained overall. Taste is pretty bland overall. Moderate bitterness, faint but toasty malty notes and some nutty notes. Not a bad beer but there’s just not much going on at all.
