Deep black pour with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate and toast. Creamy mouth. Lots of nuttiness, chocolate and some roasted malt. Finishes dry, very clean beer. Lace present. Tasty and easy drinking. Leaves you wanting another sip.

2/14/16 Chicago - (Goose Island Clybourn Brew Pub $6 16 oz draft pour into Nonic glass). Pitch black pour, medium tan cloudy head. Strong coffee aroma, with hints of toffee and chocolate. Very sweet chocolate and mild roast coffee taste. Medium body, easy drinking. Overall very good offering.

On tap: The aroma consists of light-moderate coffee, lighter chocolate, caramel, and roasted nuts. It’s a dark brown with some orange transparency and a small beige head. The flavor starts with mild chocolate and caramel. The finish has light-moderate coffee and light roasted nuts. It’s light bodied with light-moderate carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel.
