On tap at Wrigleyville, and dispensed to a pint glass with a bright and clear, gold/amber hue, a modest amount of off white head foam that diminished to a persistent ring & layer, and left some streaks & spots of lacing. The aroma was perfumey, but mellow notes of tangerine, mid-fruit sweetness, and smooth malt. The flavor exhibited a nice balance of the malt and medium strength hop bitterness. Medium bodied, lively carbonated, and crisp. A sessionably drinkable brew for IPA newbs and hop geeks alike. deyholla (12021) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 3, 2012
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has light citrus with a bit of apricot and backing sweet grains. Flavor starts with apricot and sweet grains but finishes with light orange peel. Marheb (5991) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 26, 2012
À la pompe au pub: Présence en bouche collante avec des notes de pins et florales. Buvabilité excellente avec une moyenne amertume. csaso (2328) - Missouri, USA - FEB 17, 2012
Tap - average size foamy head, pretty medium amber/orange color, nice big citrus/apricot aroma and flavor NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 13, 2012
Draft at GI Clybourn. Pours a lightly hazed deep orangey-gold with a persistent fluffy white head. The nose is floral and fruity, light citrus notes and bready malts. Pretty fresh. On tasting, malt is prominent, perhaps a hint of caramel then a robust bitterness rolls across the palate. Clean and fresh, citrusy and floral finish. Solid IPA and kinda in GI’s wheelhouse. Somewhat English tinged.

Flight on tap at the Clybourn Brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a rich orange amber glow, touches of haze, fiery glow throughout like a rich sunset. A frothy offwhite head sits atop and dies to a film, laces very well overall and sticks around. Aromas are a rich fruity melange of hop flavors. Tons of tropical fruit, peach, and melon mixing with dry bitter florals, grass, and more fruit. A touch of cotton candy, pale malts. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied offering a lot of fruit flavor, juicy fruit tropical essence mixes with melon, bubblegum, and some lemon but more orange citrus essence. Dry florals and grass, a bit sweet overall. Tangerines, mellow pale malts and crisp cereal grains, the malt body doesn’t get in the way it seems, staying away from caramel or toffee, but the fruity hops are over the top, giving some bubblegum appeal and not the most potent bitterness. It’s tasty overall but a bit sweet, needing an up to it’s dry hop mouthfeel ante. Finish is a touch soapy, a bit dry, but still very fruity. Interesting beer, not bad by any means, just not exactly what I expected. Ok. The richness of the hop flavors can’t be overlooked here. The dryness picks up a touch further in, but still leaves you desiring more. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 5, 2011
On tap at GI cly... Pours a golden transparent copper orange that is bright and alluring and topped with a thin to medium creamy white head... Piney citrus hop notes in the aroma. Standard to say the very least with a grassy kind of backend... Flavors are on the sweeter side with an earthy, grassy tea-likeness to the hops. A light to fair bitterness in the finish. Light to medium bodied with adequate carbonation.
