Nice golden color, small off white head that had a short hang time then faded quickly leaving little behind.Grainy cerealish aroma with some light hints of citrus and hops. The flavor was quite decent,a bit cerealish with some nice light malt notes a bit of sweetness in the middle then a slight hoppy end.Fairly smooth and easy drining brew.Doesn’t quite fit the season but pleasant none the less and well worth having a few more for saving for the summer. On tap at Clybourn. Poured a clear, brighter golden with a short layer of looser white bubbles. The nose was lighter, sporting bready malts and hints of citrus (perfect for the 90 degree weather). Pils and bready pale malt base... lighter lemony notes surround the tongue... almost sharp at times, but never astringent. Smooth and lighter-bodied with medium carbonation. Very refreshing! oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 5, 2006
Pours a nice hazy golden yellow. Aromas of malts, hops, and grass. Crisp hop bitterness and dry finish.

Sampled from bottle. This pils pours a slightly hazy yellow with a thin white head and intricate lacing. Aroma is grassy and has notes of honey. It is too balanced for the style - I was expecting more hop bitterness. Good malt backbone with both honey and floral hops present. Medium-bodied and smooth. A good beer, but probably not up to par with the other Goose Island beers. Brodie (540) - Boone, North Carolina, USA - JAN 14, 2005
Clean aroma, floral and spicy noble hops, faint malt. Brilliant clear gold color, medium white head, lots of big bubbles. Nice balance in the flavor, clean hops and malt, nothing overpowering, and no off-flavors (which is quite a compliment for a pils). Medium body, smooth. Very nice pilsener-style beer, very clean and balanced - I love a good pils!

Light gold appearance with a distant aroma of barley. Well carbonated, light to medium bodied with a clean, crisp, decently hopped flavor. IndianaRed (4615) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 30, 2004
Bottle Pours a clear, very pale golden color with a medium size fizzy white head. Faint pale grain aromsa with some sweetness like honey. Don’t detect much hops. Flavors are mainly cereal, bread and little hops. Quite fizzy carbonation and a light clean feel. Not bad for the style. Thanks MrFacto jefcon (1849) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - DEC 17, 2004
Light gold and blonde in the glass with a brief white head. Aromas of hops and a good musty yeast, but also sour smells of something chemical or sanitized. Flavors are better, but pretty simple. Kind of heavy on the hops, but to my liking. Full and suprisingly deep palate. Pretty decent for the style -- not one that many will attempt. Mangino (1027) - Mississippi, USA - DEC 5, 2004
Pours a golden yellow, lots of bubbles and foamy head. Aroma is lemon. Flavor is that of big malts and crisp flavor. A little corn, and lemon. Palate is smooth for the style. Dextolen (151) - Michigan, USA - NOV 29, 2004
Bottle. Golden orange in color, clear. Frothy head that departed soon. Some lacing. This is a good example of what the american giants should taste like (If you like that style of beer) I still don’t understand the attraction to the flavor of a pilsner.
