Chicago, home to more Czechs than any city outside the Czech Republic, is a fitting home for America’s finest Pilsner. Goose Island Pils is craft brewed and cold lagered for a crisp refreshing taste.

Golden color, noble hop aroma, crisp pilsner malt flavor, light body

Clear yellow-gold w/ small white head. Clean malt & hops on the nose. A little thin on the palate. Crisp, biscuity sweet malt flavour w/ a nice saaz hoppiness.

(draft): Apple juice body with small white head. Aroma is sweet, apple, lightly hopped (faintly grassy). Taste is moderately sweet up top, turns mildly bitter (grassy). Medium body.

RBSG2003 Crystal clear yellow lager. Small, white creamy head. The aroma is yeasty, floral and lightly malty. The flavor is very well-balanced. A bit on the THIN side. Light malt. Light-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish.

Color is a clear gold with a finger high white head of foam that faded to a reserved skim and spotty minimal lace. Smell is grassy and some floral hops and light sweetness. Taste is more of the same with a favorable little crispness, good amount of sweet malts and a toned down floral hop with a fine even finish that doesn't really linger or hold, not bad. Pretty light body, getting close to medium, nothing fancy for a pilnser. Would make for a good session beer as for its easy consumption.

I really enjoyed this Pils. It had just the right amount of hoppiness and a good malt taste.

Very light/chardonnay color with a minimal white head. Theres an abundant hop presence here, both in smell and taste. This one certainly blurs the line between Pils and APA. Crisp and clean floral taste with a very hoppy aftertaste. Suprising amount of lacing for such a small head. This beer is definately underrated as far as the percentile.

A wet-soil-covered-with-eggs stink hovers around the bready yeast...But an interesting stink, if such a thing is possible...Pomelos simmer with hearty hops and the thought of sulphur is vanquished...A very unique memento of it all lingers in the throat for awhile...

Nice pilsener, crisp, dry, European hop presence. Drank on a hot day-perfect.

jamrun (137) - Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA - MAY 5, 2003
nice hop aroma, smooth maltiness, very refreshing finnishes a bit sweet and a small hop bite

Clean and light describes this well. Flavor is very reminiscent of the European Pilsners. I enjoyed this more than most of the other Goose Island beers I've sampled.
