Draft at Clybourn. Pours a very pale yellow, thin creamy head. The nose is banana and light clove. The sulfur seems to be gone. Has a pleasant floral hopping, herbal as well. Light malt. On tasting, much the same. Overally, quite generic but clean. hint of pepper and banana, pils malt. Light bodied. Not a whole lot going on. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - AUG 19, 2012
Draft pour on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a dulled golden hue, nice glow and mellow haze overall. Frothy whitish head atop dies to a small layer, laces small with that lingering ring. Aromas are a bit funky, that sulfuring bent I’m a bit sesitive to, fruity orange rind and dry florals, mellow yeast. Sweeter doughy malts appear as it warms a bit more. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, with some dryness, touches of mellow hops. Spice, thicker sweet doughy and fruity middle. Backend offers some dryness, spice, touches of pear and banana esters. Gentle citrus, apricot, some crisp cereal. Mellow body. Not bad, that sulfur yeast note or whatever it is always grabs me, I seem to be sensitive to it. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 18, 2012
Draft, pours slight hazy golden with white head. Aroma ha floral, herbs, hay, and pepper. Flavors are crisp hay, pepper, grass, and floral notes, light honey and wheat malt notes. Good beer, enjoyed it a bit more than revolution’s.
