Draught at Clybourn. Very lightly hazy orange with a white head. Lots of citrus and tea, clove and orange in the aroma. Spicy flavor with lots of tea and light orange. A bit overwhelming on the tea. Light body. Spritzy. Too much spicy tea flavor. Not a fan. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - NOV 22, 2010
GABF 2010. Pours a nice light golden with a lingering off white head. Aroma is minty green tea, herbal big fresh flowers- tea, hibiscus, lotus, and bee balm cones. Flavor is earthy, tea, flowery, honey, almost an oily feel but still mostly dry in the end. Strange but I kinda liked it. On tap at the brewpub in Chicago. Cloudy orange-gold. Very perfumey lemongrass aroma, also cardamom pod and lychee. Palate is even more perfumey. Soapy perfumey flavours of lemongrass, galangal, cardamom pod, without much underlying malt structure.

Sample from a growler shared by ShareANevada. Pours a hazy golden brown with a medium sized frothy off white head. The aroma consists of herbal tea, lemongrass, spicy yeast, with an earthy component as well. The flavor has more herbal tea and lemongrass with a bready maltiness. At times it gets a bit floral, but comes back to the tea and lemon citrus. The bitterness is maybe a touch too much with the citrus component and the finish is dry and grassy. Decent brew. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 25, 2010

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2010 Tasted on draft at Goose Island Clybourn. Pours clear golden with an average white head that has very good retention. Nose is very intense lemon with with an underlying aroma of hops and a hint of light malt. The flavor is pretty subdued on the front of the palate, but then explodes with lemon tea and citrus hops which meld nicely with the slightly caramelized malts, finishing with citrus and slight bitterness. The body is medium and oily with lively carbonation and a long citrus finish. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - SEP 1, 2010
Draft at Sheffield’s (Chicago, IL). Pours a pale straw yellow, light haziness, with a frothy whitish head atop that films and laces small as it dissipates. Aromas are bigger spicy yeast, estery fruits, a touch of earthy and woody tea, with lemony citrus hops, telltale Sorachi Ace, dry and decent bitterness. Initial is estery, banana and citrusy lemon mix, some bready malts, earthy tea with more citrus, a decent bitterness, dry with some florals and grass. Herbal tea, woody and earthy with a touch of spciness from the yeast, big citrusy lemon develops. Interesting concept, but it almost loses it in itself. The esters interfere a bit, perhaps if the Tea and Citrus was more to the forefront, I’d be a stellar beer, light and earthy with herbal and citrusy notes, light bitterness, earthy and woody tea.. the fruitiness gets in the way a bit for me. Nice though, still.
