sliffy (2040) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 30, 2007
Growler shared by holdenn and drew @ DLD: Poured a hazy gold in color with an off white head. A slight funkiness, some lemon, grassy notes. There was a bit of spice, and some citrusy notes. Not as funky as I would like, but a bit of tartness was there.

Drewbeerme and I brought this growler into dark lord day and hopefully enough samples got around. Pours a yellow orange with a white head. Yeast and citrus aromas some corriander and spice. Orange citrus flavors, yeasty, spice, with some pine in the tart dry finish. I decent saison.

TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - APR 29, 2007
Pous a hazy orange amber with a medium creamy white lacing head. Aroma was spicy, various fruits, tropical fruit, banana, coconut, mixed citrus and an overall tartness, yeasty with some coriander. Flavor was very dry, yeasty, spciy, fruity, peppery with some honey. On the sticky side, yet dry. Also picked up some of the ginger and coriander.

Poured hazy medium orange with a short cap of white head and some thorough lacing. Aroma found lots of spicy coriander and white pepper over a sweet malty base… orange zest appears with warmth along with candy sweetness. Tart spices and floral bitterness bite the tip of the tongue upon first impression.. apple and other light fruity sweetness come shortly after.. peppery spices, orange zest, and a hint of alcohol sharpness provide an additional level of complexity as it warms up… very tasty! Spicy, medium-bodied, and engaging throughout. Very much enjoyed it.
