Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy golden-orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of slight orange peel, lemon, grass, some biscuit into a bit of dough, bread and some cereal notes. Taste is a mix of grass, biscuit, bread, some yeasty notes into a bit of dough, slight grain, touch of spice, lemon, finishing dry. burgy (460) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - DEC 30, 2012
Very light in flavor. It had an off/ light carbonation possibly because it fed straight through from the fermentation tank. Almost no lemon/ orange flavor it is really hard to taste. Thorpe429 (5122) - , Illinois, USA - JUN 9, 2012
On tap at Goose Island Clybourn. Served in a sampler glass. Pours a golden-orange color with a good white head and some spotty lacing. Nose carries a bit of spice along with a touch of citrus. Nothing too complex. Flavor has a bit of pepper and earth along with mild citrus. Light body with high carbonation. Interesting and refreshing; no note of the 7%abv. Flight on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a well hazed golden orange pour, a touch darker with a frothy offwhite head atop. Dies to a thick ring and laces small. Aromas offer some sweeter orange elements, rind and fruit, mellow bite with bready mellow malts, straw, and touches of dough, pale malts. Mellow dryness and simplicity, nothing overdone as the yeasty elements aren’t there. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied offering touches of fruit, apple and pear, some gentle orange rind and fruit, sweeter slanted. Bready malts, grains, and dough. Gentle citrus does continue to linger on, focusing on a mellow orange feel. Clean gentle sweetness into middle and backend, offering just a touch of dry yeasty elements, sustained mellow sweeter oranges, bready malts and grain. Enjoyable but forgettable, as it’s simplicity is it’s downfall. A solid beer, if a bit big (7 percent ABV, eh?) for the message it’s trying to preach. Nose really falls off. A very pretty beer and a drinkable one too. Solid.. But I’d prefer a more sessionable beer to this as far as a future choice over this.. As it’s flavors seem dulled compared to Willow Street, Summer School, etc. deyholla (12588) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 11, 2012
Sampled from the tap at the Clyborn location. Pours a slightly hazy pale gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of citrus and light fruits backed by a light earthy notes and grain. Flavor has a bit more grain with some sweet light citrus and a hint of flora.

Served in a tulip at Clybourn brewpub. Pours hazy golden yellow orange with white head. Aromas of citrus, bready malts, and some spices. Flavors of bready malt, citrus, light hop bite, some spice, and a little banana. Drinkable but lacking complexity. Body is a little thin as well. drdisque (899) - Illinois, USA - MAY 8, 2012
On tap at clybourn brewpub. Pours clear amber. Medium spicy aroma. Pretty standard medium bodied tangy saison. I like saisons. This is good but nothing special. NobleSquirrel (3439) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 30, 2012
Draft at Clybourn. Pours an orangey gold with a fluffy white head. Nose has a peppery quality and some fruit. Some sweetness and citrus in the nose as well. On tasting, it is just weird. Carbonation is far too low and causes the beer to feel flabby. Bigger body than it should have for the style. Dry and peppery but lacks life. Some sweetness and a mild tartness with citrus notes but just meh. phaleslu (10895) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 30, 2012
Draft in a sampler at the Clybourn brewpub. Pours a hazy yellow-gold color with a medium white head. Notes of citrus, bready malts, pepper, herbs, straw, and mild funk. Light-medium bodied, with medium carbonation. Lots of Belgian character comes through in this bright, summery saison. Strykzone (7797) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - APR 29, 2012
Sample at at Clybourn. Hazy gold. A nice yeast, fruit, lightly funky nose. Minteresting yeadt leads. Soft fruity citrus hops are tasted. Some farmhouse flavor. Interesting and tasty. Like the other beers I had here, they are down the middle to style and tasty.
