Always one of my favorite saisons. The addition of grapefruit is an absolute compliment to this beer. Had it on tap twice this week one pour was bright one was very cloudy but still great. Absolute home run alliance100 (1152) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 7, 2013

Draft at Craft. Pours turbid thick orangy, looking a lot like orange juice, with off-white head. Nose is big grapefruit, some oak, hops, florals and spices. Tastes grapefruit-forward, very complex in flavor and with a great mouthfeel, with some oak, coriandery spice, florals, and a rich grapefruit finish. This one is juicy and thoroughly quaffable. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - AUG 24, 2013
Draft at coles. LOVE this beer. Not even a grapefruit fan. Slightly hazed blonde pour. Kind of funky, grapefruit heavy, funky yeastiness. Dry finish. Sofie shines here but grapefruit addition puts this over the top. Awesome beer madvike (3260) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 11, 2013
On tap at Madison’s pre-GTMW event - Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Nose is orange juice/orange soda, a touch of coriander, and light pale malt. Super refreshing. Taste is like a mimosa--light and orangey, with pale malt, coriander, and a touch of yeast. Smooth and really gently carbonated. This was fantastic.

Pours a cloudy, pale golden yellow color with banana-like hues and a one finger, frothy white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Good retention with steaks of soapy lace left behind. Visible carbonation bubbling up as well.
Musty farmhouse aroma with earthy oak, zesty spice, banana bread, citrus rind and vinous light fruit. Subtle dry oak/toothpick complimenting the earthy saison character. Nice peppery spice presence with some coriander and clove in there. Vinous light fruit notes with light grape and white raisin. Sweet citrus pith with lemon peel/juice and grapefruit. Was expecting more grapefruit in the nose but I’m pickin up more funk, wine and lemon.
On the lower end of medium body with soft carbonation that’s perfect for the style. Mouthfeel is very nice and the flavors are complex yet nicely balanced. Peppery spice up front with musty brett/farmhouse funk and a very strong citrus presence that lingers over the bread/yeast, light fruit and dry oak into a sweet, slightly dry finish. Grapefruit is much stronger than in the nose and nicely compliments the vinous barrel and lighter fruits. Nice white white presence with light grape and golden raisin but the barrel/oak is very faint. Complex and very flavorful yet it’s light and easy to drink. ABV is invisible. A lot of really nice flavors bouncing off of each other. Each sip reveals something different and everything blend together very well. The grapefruit juice/rind is a really nice addition to an already great beer. Huhzubendah (3705) - Washington DC, USA - APR 30, 2013
On draft at Whole Foods in Alaexandria, VA.
The beer is light golden with a small, white cap. The aroma brings tropical fruit, floral hops, saison yeast, and more. Wine barrel and grapefruit character just shines in the flavor. Oh my. Ridiculously tasty. Juicy and refreshing, teeming with flavor. Well beyond the quality of the standard Sofie. I ordered three pints and two growlers to take home. Highly recommended. dogfishho (669) - Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA - MAY 12, 2013
It's unusual to get a fruit beer like this that is so sweet but well balanced. Tastes like candied grapefruit rinds on top of a decent base Belgian golden ale. So refreshing. The best shandy ever!

Draft @ The Porter in ATL 05/05/13: Pours a hazy yellow straw color with a medium size off-white head that is fully lasting. Citrus nose has hints of white wine, oak, lemon, and grapefruit. Flavor is bittersweet with grapefruit and wood flavors. Has a creamy texture and a tart finish. Very refreshing!
