Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in wine barrels with orange peel, Sofie is a tart, dry, sparkling ale. A subtle, spicy white pepper note, a hint of citrus from the orange peel and a creamy vanilla finish make Sofie an intriguing choice for Champagne drinkers and beer drinkers who are fond of Belgian Saisons.

Bottle poured into a pilsner showing well filtered neon yellow with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows a lot of clean lemon zest, orange peel, and sweet bready malts. The palate is medium bodied and well carbonated. Moderately tart with flavors of light lemon and hints of orange. Light Belgian yeast influence apparent throughout. Excellent example of a saison.

Bottle. Hazy yellow with a large frothy white head. Citrus, brett, leather, barnyard, minerals and vanilla in the nose. Flavour follows: Brett, barnyard, leather, wood, citrus, grapes and vanilla. Medium body, fizzy carbonation, thin texture, medium sweet with balanced bitterness. Somewhat fizzy and overly dominated by citrus, kind of like a bretty wit.

Great example of a saison. Slightly tart with a touch of lemon and lemon peel. Didnt get orange peel but there was a light cracker/malt flavor and a little hops. Refreshing.

Draft @ Oblivion. Pours s clear golden beer with a small bubbly white head on top. Aroma of peppery saison yeast, light funky notes, grainy touches. Flavor is typical saison done good, nice light acidic notes, loads of funky saison funk, bready notes with a more sweet malty aftertaste. Carbonation is medium high. Nice and decent.

765ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden blonde, with a small white head, which lasts well and leaves decent lacing. The aroma offers white wine, a little vanilla oak and some funky notes. Funky tartness up front mixes with a little oak, before leading into fruity orange and white wine in the mid-palate. It finishes crisp and spicy. A nice, complex saison.

The best saison I have had so far. Appears in the class a slightly hazy sunshine gold color with a pillowy clean white head. The aroma is lemon and yeast with a trace of orange peel. The mouthfeel is velvety and light with a bit of a bite from the carbonation. The flavors are tart lemon and orange balanced out by rich doughy yeast. Lighter notes of pepper and vanilla take place at the end.

Aroma is tangy floral, lemon, orange.... complex. Appearance is hazy yellow with large frothy white head. Taste is orange lemon forward with a sweet malt. Floral with some hop bitterness... almost Belgian. Palate is medium light. Overall a nice beer.Tangy and enjoyable. Not exactly unique but fun and a nice beer.

Some citrusy hops and lots of belgian yeast flavour, fairly bright a bit fruity, golden and sparkling, medium body, nice and a bit creamy.
