Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in wine barrels with orange peel, Sofie is a tart, dry, sparkling ale. A subtle, spicy white pepper note, a hint of citrus from the orange peel and a creamy vanilla finish make Sofie an intriguing choice for Champagne drinkers and beer drinkers who are fond of Belgian Saisons.

Fragrant and sweet, this light-colored beer has a nice bit of head and a mild flavor. Good in summer, but not a year-round beer.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a tall fluffy white head. Smell like fresh citrus, wheat and yeast. Taste is fruity, malty, tart with notes of lemon, peach, wheat, and white wine. Nice malty after taste with a clean tartness. Med-light body, silky texture, little carbonation. This would be great on a warm day and with light food.

Cloves, must, yeast, acidity, and earthy nose - complex and so amazing. Flavor acidic, earthy, dry and balanced with some citrus. Carbonation is dry and almost champagne like. Amazing beer - Id like to try an unblended version and 100% BA... just my 2 cents.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, straw color with a thin white head. Aroma is light with notes of, orange, green apple, and a bit of funk. Taste is pretty much the same with some Belgian yeast in the mix. Quick, crisp finish.

One of the few beer of this sort available in 12oz bottle four pack. Aroma is Belgian yeasty spiciness and subtle fruitiness. Flavor is more this spice but with a interesting almost bubblegum flavor. A little tart and funky note comes in later. Smooth finish. Nice beer.

(Bottle, Monks Caf Wallingatan, Stockholm) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity, spicy nose with notes of tropical fruit, grass, hay, pineapple, spicy hops and a touch of yeast. Malty, fruity taste with grass, bread, tropical fruit and a generous grassy bitterness in a finish with a touch of sweetness. Medium body, mainly dry but with some sweetness in the finish. A solid and well made saison with a touch of triple. Very nice.

Bottle shared by Lagunitasfan. Thanks TIm! It pours a nice golden color with a white head. The aroma is fruity with apricots, orange, mild spice and whiffs of brett. The flavor is the same with a nice citric tartness. Very nice subdued bretty finish. Theres some funk and Belgian yeast spiciness in there as well. I was pleasantly surprised by this one, as it had kinda fallen off my radar. I would buy this again.
