COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in wine barrels with orange peel, Sofie is a tart, dry, sparkling ale. A subtle, spicy white pepper note, a hint of citrus from the orange peel and a creamy vanilla finish make Sofie an intriguing choice for Champagne drinkers and beer drinkers who are fond of Belgian Saisons.

It pours a light hazy golden leaving a large one inch foamy and bubbly white head in my pint glass. Though pretty hazy, carbonation is still seen rising. Foamy lacing is left. The smell has the orange, lemon and Belgian yeast up front, but combined nicely. The taste is sharp around the citrus yet some distinct refreshing sweet qualities from some light malts make a slight presence. Lemon comes in really strong close to the end of the pint glass. The palate is light to medium with adequate sharpness on the tongue. Id say this is pretty drinkable. It leaves a sticky aftertaste and finish. Overall, this is good for its style and good for me.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer&Beyond, Tel Aviv. Hazy yellow with white head. The aroma has lots of flowers, yeasty and perfumed with some funk, spicy. Sourish and bitterish flavor, spicy with lots of flowers, perfumed, citrus, white wine, dry. Medium to full-bodied. Very nice.

Over all, a very satisfactory beer. Isnt too strong in the alcohol content, allowing more servings to be enjoyed when dining or out within a social atmosphere. Has a nice fruity, sweet like taste and a smooth intake that is astounding. Definitely recommend this one for anyone who wants to take their beverage up a few notches.

La ms fina entre las Saisons que he probado. Casi ms un champagne que otra cosa. Una table beer en toda regla

Slightly hazy golden pour with thin cap of white. Aroma hints of lemon, slight funk and maybe a touch of candi sugar. Flavor is similar with some light sour notes of citrus, and a decent malt sweetness. Nothing about this beer is overly dominant. Very tasty and very balanced with a slightly tart finish. One of the best Ive tried for the style.

Smooth aroma, very soft on the palate. The hops and the yeast were mild, fruity flavors and a flowery profile. Would definitely drink this again.

Draught. Pours a hazy light orange with a bubbly to lacy off white head. Aroma is of pepper, orange, citrus, biscuit. Taste is of orange, lemon, pepper, biscuit, clove. Hard to detect the wine barrel ageing. Oily mouthfeel, medium carbonation.

0,355l bottle at home from trade with fabiand, big thanks. Bottled 04 April 2016. yellow clear shiny color, small white head. smells of brett, light barnyard, lightly leathery, citric, light ripe fruits, lightly vinous, nice smell. medium to full body, rather bubbly carbonation, soft mouthfeel. tastes of brett, light sweetness, a bit musty, some ripe fruits, spices, lightly yeasty, a bit grassy. finishes rather dry with light brett, spices and light sweetness. liked the smell quite a bit, taste is rather boring though. overall nice beer though.

Mild, slightly apricot aroma. Pours clear golden, moderate carbonation just enough to make it crisp. Doughy initially with apple notes but slightly musty finish, which is what takes this beer down a notch for me.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Yeast, a bit of farmhouse funk, orange peel, with a hint of citrus. Nice mouthfeel and aftertaste. This would be a great brew for the non-beer drinker or those looking to get into the craft beer world. Not particularly fond of Saisons, but this one tastes fantastic.

12oz bottle. Somewhat cloudy golden pour. Aroma is orange peel with some funk. The white pepper really come through in the taste, balances nice with the citrus. Nice dry finish. Really well done.
