COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in wine barrels with orange peel, Sofie is a tart, dry, sparkling ale. A subtle, spicy white pepper note, a hint of citrus from the orange peel and a creamy vanilla finish make Sofie an intriguing choice for Champagne drinkers and beer drinkers who are fond of Belgian Saisons.

Bottle dated 3/10. Pours a medium golden color with a billowing white head that has great staying power - leaves incredible lacing with little clouds that remain on the skin of the brew long after the pour is complete. Aroma is great and intense - wine grapes, lemon, orange peel with some spice and wheat in there as well - wonderful on the nose. Flavor is quite good as well...slightly spicy, yeasty and moderately sour - very enjoyable. Medium bodied palate with a subsequently medium length finish. Nice offering from GI!

from a bottle during a halloween party. It has a lovely wheaty whiff of apple juice to it and a clear yellow fizz appearance. The taste is slightly funky with a strong belgian yeast overtone ruling it all from on high. It is chuggable and goes well with a karaoke performance of the Prince classic Erotic City. Good for being Calvin, Hobbes, and Susie and singing songs and drinking beers and doing the whole cute thing hell yeah.

Got this one from my neighbours as a nice gathering around supper. Excellent choice, a saison/belgian ale. That's is an automatic win.

Bottle thanks to wombat23. Gold and hazy with a foamy white head that soon fades. Aroma is green pear, spice, yeast. Taste is tart up front, turning increasingly sweet at the finish. Dry. Hints of citrus, spice and bubblegum linger in the aftertaste. Body is medium with a prickly carbonation. A rewarding brew with a subtle depth that at the same time remains undemanding and refreshing. Good stuff.

Bottiglia.

Pours slightly hazy yellow, big but quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is big yeast, spicy, banana, white fruit. Taste is fruity, a little tart, yeast, than a blast of sourness. Very creamy full mouthfeel. I get more pepper taste than citrus.

Final ácido, conduzindo a baunilha e ligeiro secor agradável e prolongado. Conjunto elegante, delicado e sofisticado. Garrafa de 355ml - Rio de Janeiro, Brasil - Agosto de 2017 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
