COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kolsch, the clean and refreshing beer style of Cologne, Germany, quenches summertime thirst. This pale golden ale with a lightly fruity aroma is cold-conditioned or lagered after its primary fermentation. More simply, our Summertime uses only the finest malts and German hops to create the perfect beer for hot Summer days and warm Summer nights.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2016 Strong artificial lemon taste recreating without the sweetness or the sour notes, just kind of "there", backed by typical light to medium lager malt. Fair. I was a little surprised looking back on my tasting notes here from 3 years ago, which gave it a 3.6. First, I was surprised because I don’t remember having ever had it before. Second, I was surprised because it was a glowing review that didn’t seem to be about the same beer I drank again yesterday. I don’t know if my tastes have changed, the beer has changed, or it’s a bad idea for beer companies to put out summer beers in March and for beer drinkers to drink them in March. Maybe it’s all of those things. Anyone think the change might have to do with getting bought out by AB-Inbev? Nothing real great, nothing horrible. Middle of the pack. 3.6 in 2013, 2.9 in 2016; hopefully it’s not a 2.2 in 2019. ;)

Sampled from a bottle. A clear light gold with a good white head. Clean and fresh with a taste of light malts with some grassiness. Dryish finish. A pleasant summer beer, and not a bad attempt at making a Kolsch-style beer.

Kölsch nie jest stylem, który znam zbyt dobrze... Każda okazja, żeby go spróbować, jest więc dobra! Kolor złoty, piwo klarowne. Piana biała, ale niezbyt obfita. Aromat chlebowy, trochę trawiasty, owocowy. W smaku słodowe, lekko cytrusowe, z wytrawnym finiszem. Wysycenie średnie, w kierunku wysokiego. Całkiem przyjemne, pijalne!

Bottle. Pours a light yellow color. Easy drinking smooth easy session beer. I'd have this at a BBQ or a summer game ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Total Wine.

Light gold pour. Slightly floral aroma, bit of grass. Sweet grains, a little bit fruit, but not really a full on kolsch vibe here. Drinkable enough light summer beer.

Sour scents of grass and potatoes. Pours a pale gold. White quick dissipating head. Tastes distinctly crisp and light. Low carbonation. Good kölsch.

Average at best. Really bland flat backend taste. Wish it had a bit more fruit like light aftertaste. This is just a classier Miller lite ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice yeast nose with malty opening flavor. A fairly standard kölsch, glad to see this variety becoming popular.
