On tap at Clybourn location: Pours a rich copper amber with a stringy-lacing light tan head. Has a sweet caramely malty nose with lots of fresh piny hops. Starts with good rich toasty caramel malty sweetness and good fresh resiny citrus hop flavor and bitter balance along with light fruity complexity before a bittersweet finish. Served in snifter at Clybourn. Pours hazy brown with small tan head. Aromas of sweet caramel malts, dark fruits, some hops, and light citrus. Flavors of dark fruits, earthy hops, sweet caramel and toffee, sweet malts, and nice alcohol warmth. Nice full mouthfeel. Nice little sipper. Symposium barleywine... Pours a murky and muddled caramel brown with a
thin wispy light khaki off-white head... Dark fruit, prunes, and
raisins with more subtle caramel... Malt forward with dark fruit and
sweet caramel. Thick sticky syrupy mouthfeel that initially wasnt too
appealing but opened up and became more revealing as it warmed. Some
faint bittering towards the end which added an extra dimension. Nice
break away from the norm of extremely hopped up barleywines.

On Tap at GI Clybourn. Pour is a murky brown with a thin ring of tan head. Also quite cold. Aroma is very malty, almost worty. As it warms, light caramel and light fruit also become more apparent. Flavor is also notably malty with light fruit and bubblegum-like notes. Only enough hops to balance the malt out. I really liked it.
