3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This say "limited release" on the carton. This beer has a lot of characteristics of a Goose Island, more so with the Honkers ale that I drink often. Some light fruity characteristics on the nose. The flavors present a bit of spiciness with a bit of honey and citrus. Slightly dry and salty on the palate with a buttery finish. Not bad at all but not something I would consider top shelf.
(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy copper body with a small off-white head. Aroma of florals, citrus, caramel, and candied tropical fruit. Flavor of herbs, stone fruit, toasted grain, pine, and earthiness. Kleg (405) - The Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 22, 2017
Clear amber color and thick beige head and fair retention. Good lacing. Tastes like a mild IPA. Definite floral hop taste but not too bitter. Not my style. 6.2 ABV is well hidden. alexsdad06 (10821) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - MAY 28, 2017
Draft to taster from notes. Pours a clear golden color with a small off white head. The aroma has dank hop, grass, light citrus, just a hint off character. The flavor has mild citrus up front, some floral hop, pale toasted malts, mild bitterness mid palate, slight floral notes leading to a mild to moderate bitter finish. Amber color with a diminished light beige head and leaving decent lace. Caramel, grapefruit, orange peel and hints of light fruit and herbs. Light sweet start. Mild caramel in the middle along with bits of citrus. Drier, toasted malt in the finish along with a woody bitterness. I’m really thinking this is not much more than a hoppy amber. 1/14

5th June 2016: 12oz bottle while on holiday. Golden bronze pour, off-white head. Citrus and floral notes in the nose from this hop dominated beer. Those hops with their citrusy aroma also rule the taste with a semi-bitterness front and dry finish. Decent enough.

Pours a nice golden orangish color. Aroma is big citrus/piney hops with some floral and fruit. Flavor of a classic pale, mildly sweet malt action followed by great hop flavor bite, smooth throughout and a great finish. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - FEB 6, 2016
Bottle from Cork 57. Golden body with thin head. Nose is hoppy, citrus, floral. Taste also plenty of hops up front, with citrus and spices. Really nice stuff. milewide (2315) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JAN 26, 2016
Bronze color with both herbal and fruit aroma and taste. Alcohol pushes it into IPA range, but 48 IBUs makes it an APA. Livendadream (249) - New Mexico, USA - DEC 9, 2015
Btl pours a clear bronze color with a fluffy off white head that lingers for quite some time leaving spots of lace on glass. Aromas of biscuits, herbs, spice with some flowery perfume notes. Tastes of sweet caramel, lemon, tangerine and bread. Tingly almost watery mouthfeel, light body, adequate carbonation and a bitter dry finish. This beer is nicely balanced but it’s to bland for me. corby112 (2813) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 18, 2015
Pours a slightly cloudy, dark golden orange color with apricot colored edges and a two finger, pillowy off-white head that very slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Good retention, taking a while to settle and leaving sporadic streaks of soapy lacing behind.
Floral, perfume-like aroma with grassy, spicy hops and resinous pine countered by subtle citrus and a sweet caramel malt presence. Some fresh cut grass, sticky weed and pine needle followed by grapefruit and lemon zest. Caramel malt backbone with some toast, toffee and biscuit. Nothing out of the ordinary but has a decent hop presence.
Medium body with a blast of dry, sticky bitterness that lingers over the sweeter notes and caramel malt backbone into a slightly boozy, bone dry finish. Surprisingly hop forward with resinous bitterness, grassy pine needle and spruce tip countered by subtle citrus/tropical fruit sweetness and a caramel malt backbone. Some grapefruit and citrus rind sweetness cutting through the bitterness along with caramel, toffee, light fruit, bread and biscuit. Only 6.2% but there’s noticeable boozy heat in the finish slightly taking away from the hop flavors. Decently balanced with nice bitterness but it’s a touch too boozy for my liking and could use a stronger citrus/tropical fruit character.
