Sampled at FOAB ’12. I was pouring this one for much of the night so I had quite a few pours of it myself. It really ranged from a cranberry slurry to a cranberry color pour. Tart cranberry aroma with some dark rich earthiness. A few spices that are hard to place - they must be the saison base. The cranberries were tart and earthy balanced with that wood, wine, and slight funk from the saison This must have been hard to make and it really worked for me. Nice. 8/4/8/4/17

Draft at Fobab. Glad I got this while it wasn’t sludge. Pours a black brown, with a red tinged brown head. Nose is bright cranberry, some oak and faint cocoa. The fruit is the prominent note, tending towards wine. On tasting, creamy body. Nice tartness and fruity qualities that improve the base beer. Some dark malt notes and more fruit. Sampled from the tap at FOBAB 2012. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has cranberries with some dark sweet grains and a hint of dry wine. On tap: The aroma consists of sweet cherry, tart cranberries, and light vinous notes. It’s a reddish-brown with a small pinkish head. The flavor starts with a quick dose of sweet cherries and a touch of cola. The finish has tart cranberry, light vinous notes, and a touch of vanilla. It’s light bodied with light carbonation.
