COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s grandiose vision for a mile-high skyscraper dubbed "The Illinois," we set out to brew an imperial IPA that would be similar in name and ambition. "The Illinois" Imperial IPA is dry-hopped with three of our favorite hops: Cascade, Meridian, and Citra. the result is a harmoniously hoppy ale with a flavor and aroma that is uniquely Goose Island.

Sammy (12205) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 28, 2013
On tap at Cole’s, Buffalo. This did not come across like a DIPA, closer to a hoppy imperial lager. Mild citrus, well carbonated, minerally. Light grapefruit coloured body.

2.7
slowrunner77 (12044) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 16, 2015
cool hops used but too muddled and malty - me thinks I got an old one. I’d like to try it fresh, but for now the light citrus over cardboard ain’t floatin my boat.

3.6
shrubber85 (11408) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUN 29, 2014
Bottle. Orange juice malt and grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange malt and strong bitter spruce/grapefruit peel flavor. Nice body. Good but nothing to set it apart.
