UPDATED: MAR 28, 2014 A medium-strong hop aroma. Very clear, un-bubbly. This is fairly sweet and sugary with a hop alcohol note that’s more noticeable near the end. Decent but not what I’m feeling at the moment.
Had again and had to raise this up. Truly fantastic. cernjoh (188) - Ohio, USA - APR 11, 2014
Had this from a growler. Aroma is citrus and pineapple. Pours a nice clear golden color with a 1 finger off white head. Taste is a nice balance between sweet and bitter with slight pineapple, lemon, and grapefruit. Palate is very smooth. Overall an excellent beer. I highly recommend it. Goes great with Havarti cheese. fitwitchik (433) - Ohio, USA - APR 11, 2014
On tap to my growler to my home into a pint glass golden orange with a HUGE head.
Aroma of tropical fruit pineapple & some orange. Some minor pine going on here as well. Know this is going to be good!
Flavor is incredible. Smooth sweet hoppiness so well balanced. No overkill on any one component of this brews profile. Exceptional season by GI which I look forward to each year. Yummo!!! hopdaddy53 (2) - - AUG 25, 2013 does not count
Had on draft at Mondo's Draft House in Iowa City. Clear Amber color with a nice citrus smell and taste. Very delicious beer.

A sweet IPA. Smells like grass and has a light fruity flavor. Amber color and foamy head. Liked it!

Draft from Craft and Capone’s. Pours hazy dark straw toward copper wth clingy off-white head. Nose is huge tropical fruit, with notes of mango, tangerine, grapefruit, heavy black pepper, huge balanced caramel malt bill, and a smooth, delicious finish. This beer kicks major ass, and I dare say in a blind taste test would stand up to and even kick the ass of many of the world’s elite IPAs/IIPAs. I look at Chicago as a slightly better version of Detroit, and I look at Illinois as a superior IIPA. Get ya some now, or be labeled a moron, you moron! And if you cannot get this due to regional considerations, then I will gladly rescind the moron label, punk! Shaunmaloney (42) - Kasson, Minnesota, USA - MAR 14, 2014
Tap at Binkies in tulip. Hop is subtle almost too subtle. Great balance and finishes better than any ipa I have had this year. Its not hopslam, but it isn’t far behind. Goose small batch continues to impress. Will have another. Cheers! Cybercat (6145) - Georgia, USA - APR 10, 2014
Comes out of the tap hazy amber with a nice fine-bubbled buff head. Aroma is quite hoppy, as resiny as woody. Flavor is very hoppy, in this case a little more woody, slightly sweet, with citrus and evergreen hints.firm texture has fizz to spare. Get goosed!
