Draft at Clybourn. Pours a deep reddish amber, thin head that vanishes. Nose is moderately tart, cherry and light acetone. Brett and some funk. On tasting, it has a distinct phenolic thing going on, lending clove. Some sweetness and tartness. Without the odd estery quality and the clove notes, this could work. On tap at the Clybourn location. Pours a deep ruby-amber colored body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, light brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma has a light cranberry tartness with some funk and a lightly sweetened, somewhat bready malt backing. A bit of an earthy note as well. Flavor is similar, but a bit odd. A light medicinal funk, some tart cranberries, earth, and a bready malt backing. Finishes fairly dry with some funky spice, a light tartness, and a bit of a malt sweetness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, this wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t really my thing. Nothing ever really came together for me. On tap at the clybourn location... Pour yields a chestnut reddish auburn hue and topped with a fluffy two finger barely off-white head... Tart cranberry and red fruit aroma upfront with very little malt presence it seems. Fruit forward and smooth with a touch of earth on the backend... Semi-tart and earthy cranberry essence initially but the reverts back to a prolonged sweetness that lasts through the backend. A bit of earthiness throughout and slightly dry towards the finish. Fluffy bodied with a lighter level of carbonation. Not terrible.

Pours hazy red/brown. Aroma is of tart berries. Flavor is tart but creamy. A good balance. Has noticeable sourness from cranberries and almost tastes like a fruit lambic but you can tell all the sourness is coming from the fruit and not the yeast. Really good though. Draft flight on tap at the Clybourn brewpub (Chicago. IL). Quick jaunt in for the new rates. Pours a hazy amber hue, a bit darker in the middle, some firm glowing edges and body as it settles. A frothy whitish head dies to a ring, laces small and sticks around. Aromas offer firm brettiness, funk and straw mix on the nose with some dried fruit, berry and an odd cherry twang, touches medicinal and harsh, that cool odd feel. Some harshness, straw, and spice. Horseblanket mixes with some bready malts, dough, and straw. Initial is lighter end of the fold, firm bretty qualities overwhelm me a bit, funky and dry, horseblanket and straw up front. Middle shows the sweeter malt base, a bit carmelized, doughy, and straw. Some sweetness, gentle fruit, the harsh elements hit into the backend, a touch funky but in a bad way. Dry and gentle tartness hit me into the back. Wow. Gentle apple, cidery feel in there as we finish out. This is certainly an odd beer. Draft. Pours hazed amber with white head. Aroma has Brett, medicinal horsey thing, cleaner. Flavors horsey Brett mixed with sweet caramel and some household cleaner. Lactic finish. Messy lil thing.
