Hælder klar mørk amber, skum til den hvide side, men hurtigt døende
Meget mild, mangler alt dybden forventet af en vinterøl. Let karamelnote i smagen.
Igen mild bitterness, mild sødme
Vandet følelse, light body, soft carbonation, uden eftersmag

En generelt uskyldig øl.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark brown color with an orange hue and a huge foamy tan head that lingered forever and left excellent lacing. The aroma was yeasty and a bit nutty. The flavor malty and toasty with caramel and nut. Medium length finish. Medium bodied and smooth. Ok.

On tap at Ellyn's Tap & Grill in Glen Ellyn, IL. as a short, 2 oz. pour, showing a clear, amber/brown color, a decent layer of off white/light tan froth, with ribbons & spots of lacing. The nose was toasted, light notes of cocoa, dark fruit, caramel, and sweetness. A bit less than medium bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste was similar, with light toasted & earthy bitterness. Fairly tasty & sessionable, but an odd choice for what I would have chosen for an autumn special.

Bottle. Pours a clear brown color with medium head. Aroma of cocoa, caramel notes, sweet biscuit, toffee. Taste of roasted malts. Medium body. Ave carbonation. Medium light sweetness. Slight bitterness.

Twelve ounce bottle. Bottle pours coppery brown with a finger of pale foam.Very bland, little taste. Quite a disappointment.

(12oz bottle) AROMA: toasted malt, metallic, artificial cherry, light mocha APPEARANCE: deep dark brown, light coffee head that recedes quickly TASTE: coffee, light dark chocolate, malt/grain PALATE: light medium body, not as rich as would think from the color, so a bit watery, a tad creamy OVERALL: seems more like a dark lager than an ale, easy to drink, not heavy, not bitter.

Quite enjoyed it. Need to try it again. Wonderful toasty malt flavor. No bitterness to speak of. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Soft mouthfeel w/ a decent flavor makes this an enjoyable offering! Pours black w/ a tan head & messy lacing. The aroma is nutty & has dark malt notes. The flavor follows suit as the nuttiness shines through. The soft palate make it a little different than most browns & add a memorable factor. Overall it’s nice.

From a beer hawk mystery case. Dark , almost black. Sweet , malty , caramel like. Not hoppy at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

One of my favorites from goose island. Rich brown in color but not overpowering in flavor.
