draft sampler at tailspin. not sure if this goes here or not. but it was the blonde bock just aged in a brandy barrel. poured a yellow color with white head. the aroma was sweet, brandy sweet, clean crisp clean for the most part. the flavor was solid helles with the sweetness of the brandy. theisti (4126) - Kansas, USA - FEB 4, 2013
.5 liter draft at the Leawood, Kansas Gordon Biersch location. The pour is a hazed golden yellow with a small off white head. The aroma has some sharp malt, paired with a touch of caramel sweetness. The taste is the caramel nutty malt up front, turns to some grain and finishes with toast malt. The finish is a bit flat, along with some more of the malt sweet lingering in the finish. The palate is light bodied, with a low carbonation level, a bit flat and flabby leading towards the lingering sweet finish. This lacks some of the crispness of the other Gordon Biersch beers, just ok.
