Small head for a big beer. Smooth going down, with an ever so slight fruity but nice kickback. Refreshing on a hot Puget Sound day --- great with the BBQ. Have a go at this and the old saying: "Gentlemen do prefer blondes’ will ring true!
Dark gold with coppery tones and a small white head. Rich malt aroma, very much like a German bock. Sweet with a bit of an astringent bitterness fighting for dominance. Not a smooth balance. Too bitter of a finish for an otherwise well done bock. RobertDale (6650) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - MAR 13, 2017
12 ounce bottle. Pours a somewhat hazy pale amber with a decent beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and fruit. Taste is malt, caramel, yeast, and some fruit. OK. tightslice (1383) - Redwood City, California, USA - SEP 30, 2016
Bottle at Evernote in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is bready, malt syrup, some honey, floral and slightly metallic. Taste is sweet then medicinal / vegetal bitter like some ancient elixir, but not the kind that gives you immortality and thus worthy of the Ill-fated Eternal Drain Pour. Draft at San Jose airport. Husky grainy aroma. Faint floral. Clear dark gold with head that quickly dissipated to a collar and dusting, but there is nice patterning down the sides. Tate is moderately astringent with moderate high bittering. Slight alcohol warmth is nice. Really a bit rough and lacking rich maltiness that this style demands. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - JUL 5, 2016
[Dec 31 2015] Bottle at Gordon Biersch SLC airport. Golden body. Malty nose. Taste is malty, wheaty, sweet, some caramel. Dry in the finish. Okay.

Tap @ Gordon Biersch Taipei. Hazy yellow amber, reasonable head. Lemon yeast aroma. Black currant and malt flavour. Flowery perfumey aftertaste. Not one to get excited about. stevoj (5365) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 22, 2016
On tap at Oakland airport. Light copper body, minimal head. Sweet malt aroma, taste follows with more sweet malt, honey. Body is fantastic, slick, slippery. Shame they serve it ice cold. brucebruce81 (391) - GUAM - JAN 30, 2016
This was a good beer it had a smooth balance between hops and malts, it didn't have that pronounced hop note that I expect though

On tap at DTW airport. Sweet, fresh base malt with very low to no hops presence. Clear orange-gold under a thin, white collar. Flavour is sweet, cracker and bread malt with a moderate bitterness and zesty noble hops accent. Medium body, smooth, medium carbonation, slightly warming. R4N5H (1273) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2015
12oz bottle on 14-Nov-2015, poured into a long stemmed tulip glass. Hazy pale amber colour with a medium sized creamy white head which slowly dissipates. Medium body and carbonation. Aroma of cereal, yeast and sweet malt. Flavour of toasted caramel malt and hops. A pretty decent creamy bittersweet finish.
