Atlanta International Airport - Concourse A restaurant - on tap. Medium golden pour, light snow white head with a generous coat of lacing. Aroma is pretty much neutral with a slight grainy hint to it. Crisp pilsner flavor with a hint of honey sweetness, a touch of grain, hints of biscuit - like malty sweetness. Crisp, clean mouthfeel.

This a really solid pilsner w/ big floral hop flavor and fat maltiness w/o being too sweet or heavy. It is a clear golden color w/ a thin head of fine bubbles and lots of lace. It’s full bodied but crisp w/ vigorous carbonation. It might be a hair overboard in terms of body to be perfect for the style but given how far off some breweries get from this style it’s really hard to complain.

[2/20/15] Draught at Gordon Biersch Mission Valley in San Diego. Clear golden. Decent grassy hops aroma with a bit of malt. Flavor has some sweetish bready malt and nice crisp grassy hops bitterness. Rather light-bodied. A decent, clean, Bohemian Pilsener.

I would drink this again.....if I was out of Blatz, Hamm’s grain belt, Crazy Shirley’s, Point Pale ale, Earthquake OR I was in the Detroit airport & this was the only thing available. Or not. You could do worse.......you know you could drink a bottle of donkey piss.....BUT your oh-so sophisticated palate could also do GREAT: you know.....drinking Blatz. That’s how I roll in these troubled times.

Growler - Hay and grainy smell with a golden color. Dry taste. Slight spicy taste, pepper taste. Not much malt sweetness or hops flavor. The spice flavor adds a lot of flavor to this beer, giving it a stronger taste then the color lets onto.

Aroma of graham crackers, metallic pilsner malt, very subtle hops and grains. Appears a translucent gold with no foam. Very bland taste bringing hints of caramel, golden malts, watery pilsner malts and bland hops. Overall, not much to say about this. It is what it is.

Tap, Seattle. Pours a crystal clear yellow gold body with a small fizzy white head that vanished quickly. The nose is light Saaz hops with some bready pils malt. Not quite enough hops for a Czech Pils for my tastes. The flavor is lacking in brightness and clarity of the hops, it’s just lightly bitter. It’s more doughy and heavy than it is crisp and light. Light bodied, watery up front with a bit of doughy stickiness on the back end. Soft fizzy carbonation. OK beer, but pretty far from a good Czech Pils.

In pint glass at Cowboys Postseason game. Clear straw yellow. With almost no head. Aroma was nothing to boast about. Flavor was better than expected.

On tap @ Gordon Biersch San Jose. Clear orange pour with a white read. A rather bready and sugary nose, which is not quite what I was hoping for. A lot of apple, pear, and toasted grain. The flavor is kinda hoppy, I guess. Some decent enough grass notes. Mildly floral. A lot of bread and sweet cereal grains otherwise. Meh.
