Had this one on draught as part of a sampler flight at the brewpub in Bollingbrook, Illinois. Clear and fizzy, medium yellow pour with a foamy, rapidly dissipating white head, dry mown hay and a bit of citrus are in the nose of an otherwise profoundly unintresting beer. Thanks to Bob, Michelle, and mostly my baby Jana for the 12th annual Indiana Microbrewers Festival today! Tap @ fest. Nose of sweet grain & yeast. Sparkling golden with frothy white head. The brew is toasty and somewhat spicy, very well balanced. The medium dry body is lively. The finish feels crisp. 3fourths (9349) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 19, 2007
Decent stuff. Draft at the Rockville, MD location. Firm rocky white head atop a clear golden body. Nose of earthy clean yeast and a moderate note of grassy saaz hops. Crisp and clean tasting, filtered, obviously, but still fresh enough and crisp enough to enjoy. Nothing too spectacular, just a run of the mill mildly sweet cereal grain flavor with a touch of buttered biscuits and saaz hops. Immy (1955) - Virginia Beach, USA - JUL 14, 2007
At the Virgina Beach location. Yellow with a big white head. Nose is grassy and floral, with a grainy sweetness. Light to medium body. Flavor is more of the same, grainy sweet with a grassy bitterness. Solid but unspectacular. robertsreality (2460) - Minnesota, USA - JUL 8, 2007
Gold Color with White Ring. No Aroma. Lightly Sweet Grains...Light Dryness to It. Dry Bittersweet Finish. Wheaty Grain Note Pops Up From Time to Time.

This is my favorite GB beer. All the great hop characteristics of a good pilsner are in this one...sharp aroma, bitterness and flavor. Very refreshing after a long day ;-) troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - MAY 28, 2007
(Tap) Pours a golden color with little head. Little aroma. Taste is of sweet malts with a dry, crisp finish. Not particularly smooth, with a somewhat abrasive mouthfeel. OK, but not one of their best beers. Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - MAY 23, 2007
Tap: This poured a bright golden body with lazy bubbling and a substantial white head that semed to paste the lacing to the sides of the glass. The aroma is honeyed bread with a firm grassy bitterness. Both sweet and bitter are well balanced in the flavor, the grassy bitterness lasting into the finish along with a light touch of lemon. Sessionable, especially with a cute mixologist tending to your needs.GreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - MAY 1, 2007

Pours pale yellow and has good residual lacing that hangs the whole drink long. Aroma of malts and brisk hops. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Good balance w/ a good hop profile. Finish is bittered perfectly w/ citrus rind. A good session brew. radagast83 (8137) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - APR 15, 2007
Tap at Virginia Beach location. Not suprisingly, this was pretty much like practically every other pilsners I’ve had. Crisp, grassy, and watery with a somewhat unpleasant finish. However, I thought this one was a better example of the style.
