Draught at the brewpub in Las VegasOakes (17699) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 8, 2003
Dark amber color. Aroma of caramel. Caramel taste, much more… full and round than a classic German. Not enough hopping.
Tasted at Oakville, but it was brewed at Whitbybhensonb (15251) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 10, 2014
Reddish dark brown; caramel nose w/ wood, toffee; palate is a little bit watery; light bread crust & toffee in there as well.
750 Swingtop from Bine and Vine. Pours cola color with a beige head - though with lots of light behind it, it’s dark ruddy copper. Warm dark malt aroma. Med body, maybe. Flavor is lightly chocolate, a little darkly malty. Maybe a bit yeasty in the finish. Not much bitter in it. Enough flavor to make it an interesting beer.

Dark yet light-bodied, and I had no problems driking a huge mug of this. Had a nice aftertaste that didn’t wear thin. Surprisingly smooth considering there is no filtration involved. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 14, 2004

On tap in Hawaii. Dark brown in color with an averaged sized tan head. Nutty, roasted and malty smells and tastes. This was my 1st Dunkel style and it wasn’t that bad (I liked it more than other Gordon Biersch Beers).
