COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
is a full-bodied, malty beer. It is our only lager beer served unfiltered, the way all beer was traditionally made years ago. Despite its dark color and rich caramel aroma, Dunkles is light in texture and smooth to drink.

On draft at the Miami location. Hazy plum brown with good near white head. Nice wheaty sweet banana cream with dark sweetness. Flavor is complex, ranging from banana to even chocolate notes! There are some hints of bandaid and antiseptic, but it doesn’t ruin the flavor. There is some roastiness, semi-sweet and dry finish. The best GB beer I’ve had.

Draft Las Vegas Restaurant-No carboantion or aroma. Had the taste of old malt and stale beer. Not to pleasant.

This one comes with great cloudy brown color and medium body and finish. Slight roasted malt aroma. Quite tasty.

Completely unimpressive. Ok flavor, but thin. Sweet opening a little cloying with a little lemony citrous middle , finish a little bitter. Gordon Biersch seems to worry more about making pretty beers than tasty beers.

On tap at the Atlanta location. copper/warm brown. beautiful lingering swirl of lace. malty toasty scent. supposedly unfiltered, but I see no haze. wonderful butteriness.

Candied malt aroma, cloudy copper, medium vanilla head. Well roasted malt flavour, nutty too, very pleasant bitterness. Pretty good beer.

(Draft: Gordon Biersch Brewing Co. in San Diego, CA) Decent enough and enjoyable, I usually order 1 Dunkles each time I go to Gordon Biersch (where the meatloaf rocks BTW!); This medium bodied brew has a toasty, malty flavor as the main focus; It’s moderately sweet, lightly hoppy, mildly bitter, with a slight sourness toward the finish; Not much aroma, being just vaguely malty; Mahogany color; Tan head has average size on the pour, but fades to a thin sheen within a few minutes; Lots of interesting spiderweb lacing is left on the glass

Not bad. On tap at Whitby, On. location. Deep brown colour, large tanned head. Nice slightly hoppy aroma. Love the cloudy, dirty look to this beer. Taste is a little less interesting, but surprisingly thin given the look. Decent finish. Probably the best beer of I’ve here so far.

On tap @ Gordon Biersch Mission Valley. Pored a very dark hazy copper color. Nose is mostly of malts....some dark fruit as well. I picked up a nice hint of cherries on the tounge. A very nice Dunkle.

On tap @ GB (San Diego) - Pours a clear amber color with a thin off white head. Has a slight floral hop aroma with a good bit of caramel malt. Flavor is malty sweet. Light to medium body. A nice easy drinking beer.
