Dark red-brown leather body with a thick off white head. Nice lacing. Lagers have such great color!21iceman40 (1735) - Grafton, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 23, 2004
Lots of toasted maltiness in the aroma. Smells much more substantial than what is really in the glass.
Taste is of a dunkel but thin. Roastiness comes through in the taste a little more than the malt. Not much bitterness to note.
Very smooth on the palate.
dark, not black though, maybe some purple in it with an off white head that is moderate. Smells much like fresh veggies and some nuts, nutty organic taste to it. pobenohne (504) - Northern Liberties, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 3, 2004
On draft at the GB in Memphis. Delicious. Kind of like a baby double bock (but not a bock), nice malt, rich palate. blank (996) - Austin, Texas, USA - NOV 7, 2004
A good attempt at a dunkle. I liked this one alot, but it had a mild aftertaste that i found rather annoying. Fairly smooth with a decent body.

Tap. Maple syrup and malt aroma. Medium brown color with small head. Molasses/maple syrup and moderate malt flavor. NIce flavor but like their Weizen, a bit weak. If they could get more body, they’d really have some great beers. jrob21 (3690) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - OCT 21, 2006
This one comes with great cloudy brown color and medium body and finish. Slight roasted malt aroma. Quite tasty. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - JUL 6, 2007
On tap @ GB (San Diego) - Pours a clear amber color with a thin off white head. Has a slight floral hop aroma with a good bit of caramel malt. Flavor is malty sweet. Light to medium body. A nice easy drinking beer. Butters (4059) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - SEP 2, 2009
On draft at the Miami location. Hazy plum brown with good near white head. Nice wheaty sweet banana cream with dark sweetness. Flavor is complex, ranging from banana to even chocolate notes! There are some hints of bandaid and antiseptic, but it doesn’t ruin the flavor. There is some roastiness, semi-sweet and dry finish. The best GB beer I’ve had. bb (9268) - Alamo, California, USA - JUL 30, 2014
Bottle. 25th Anniversary. Copper beer with a tan head. Nutty and caramel aroma with light toffee and light roast. Caramel and light spice flavor. Medium bodied. Caramel and light spice lingers.
