In this beer you can taste that Don Gordon learned how to brew in Bavaria. On tab one of the best beers you can get in the USA. cwfornwalt (1) - Maryland, USA - JUL 3, 2012 does not count
This is one of my favorite beers. Rich flavor and very smooth drinking. It is what I compare all other Marzens to. Braudog (6835) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - OCT 27, 2002
Draft at the Las Vegas brewpub; Medium to dark amber color. Distinct caramel & roasted malt. Citrusy aftertaste. My wife's favorite. BeerRunner (144) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 29, 2003
This is a pretty Bavarian style beer. Aroma is really, really excellent, I like the deep amber color and the nice, off-white to brown head. Very bready/malty with a sweet finish. Zehr gut!

I have a taste for sweeter beers, so this auburn lager is right up my alley. Enough of a bitter edge to keep it interesting. I get it both from the grocery store and my local GB restaurant. krisbierjaeger (844) - dolores, Colorado, USA - FEB 4, 2002
baked yam orange in color, with perfect clarity. classic marzen dried fruit maltiness; pretzel toasty overtone to --what is it?, apricot? why, there's a whole dang restaurant in there! sweetish with a lite, very lite bitterness. grand, but i'd 'up' the ingredients a bit more, everything but the water, that is. finish a little weak-- unless you studiously keep your glass full. vwsteggie (684) - Paxton, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 21, 2002
Man when I got this on tap I thought it was from Germany! Oh well... It is pretty standard for the style, very smooth and finishes with a smokey aftertaste. Not bad. ghawener (1614) - Santa Tecla, EL SALVADOR - SEP 25, 2004
Draft: Red brown with a medium head that quickly vanishes. Smells of red berried and a bitter-sweet fruity taste.
